Really cool historical building which connects to the nearby area for food and night life bars. Location is awesome since it's connected to that area and only a short walk away to the hawker markets. Only downside was my room didn't have any hot water going to it, but I survived anyways (didn't want to bother changing rooms) - then when it rained an insane amount one day one of the windows had a leak which went into the floor, but I didn't let it bother me and just put a towel there.

Lovely hotel.
Amoy has mistakenly been described as "quirky", which usually means having some offbeat theme to distract from the scruffiness: none of that here.
"Boutique" is more accurate: unshowy, clean and comfortable, with a discrete charm and in a pleasant area.
If you like walking to get the "vibe" of this wonderful city, Amoy is better placed than the expense account hotels, between Gardens on the Bay, China Town, Raffles (if you must), Clarke Quay and (close by) Lau Pa Sat.
The staff are friendly (even showing you to your room on arrival), the A/C is good, the shower excellent, and the bed comfortable. No outside noise either, and BBC on the TV!
If you have the complimentary breakfast at Genius Central (right outside the inner entrance), you won't regret it - if you like your avocado smashed, here's the place.

The staff at this hotel are all friendly and accommodating. The room is small but it has everything we need including a comfortable bed. The location is convenient as it is just across the MRT station.

AMOY by Far East Hospitality (SG Clean) is named after and inspired by the Zhangzhou people who came from China to settle in Singapore. This boutique hotel is both a tribute to the area’s trading past and the hotel of choice for today’s modern business traveller. A convenient location. The only thing I would suggest is to install a shower curtain to prevent from water splashing in the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay.

Thanks to the Amoy staff, we have had one of our most enjoyable vacation experiences in our 55 years of travel. We were greeted most warmly by Nadyah, Adham, Thomas and Jay on our early arrival at the Amoy. Throughout our four day stay, we were treated with first-rate service, and departed with a warm and sincere send-off (thanks Nadyah) like we have never before experienced. We will definitely be returning to Amoy for our next visit to SIngapore.

Quaint hotel built in a Temple and storehouse. Every room is different. Not the most handicap friendly as there are stairs in the room and hallway. Will stay there again.

This was the nicest, friendliest, and overall greatest experience for a hotel. I wanted something unique and AMOY was perfect. The staff was so friendly and helped us with luggage, accommodations, and recommendations. The hotel itself had such amazing history and decor, we couldn't stop commenting how neat it was. The location was fantastic, we were able to walk anywhere we wanted and nearby attractions. We also can't say enough amazing things about the healthy vegan restaurant connected downstairs - delicious and again a friendly staff. If you want something unique and top tier - give AMOY a try!

Excellent location! Staff were so helpful. My daughter was on crutches during our visit and I can’t say enough about how accommodating every staff member we encountered was. Rooms were modern yet lots of history for the building itself. Only place I will stay when I return.

The Amoy hospitality from Staff blew me away. Everybody was happy, helpful and would go the extra mile to ensure your needs were met.
Breakfast was from a choice of 2 local cafes and the quality of food was excellent and tasty.
My room was clean and comfortable. I especially liked that they had body lotion as standard in the room along with all the usual toiletries. The Air con was efficient and I slept well.

The Amoy Hotel is a unique experience in the centre of Singapore not far from the CBD and central historic area. The front of house provided a very warm welcome and were very helpful during my stay. I stayed in a small single room which was surprisingly spacious with good amenities. I also liked the fact that the included breakfast was taken at one of two cafes very close to the hotel. Loved this place and will go back.
