Rustic look, small but well equipped rooms. Very good service. The delicious buffet breakfast was a bonus. Tons of cheap and good places to eat around. It’s 200m from a MTR station.

Complimentary breakfast is always 1 menu everyday, it would be nice if they change the menu everyday., they need to train their kitchen staff about food handling services, breakfast schedule is from 8:00 to 10:00 but 8:20 the food is not ready

Good location, that is the only positive thing. The room is very old with no TV connection and no power socket (we had to unplug the fridge to charge our mobile phones one at a time!!)

If you are looking for a 5 star hotel this is not the place but if you want somewhere to sleep that is budget friendly safe with air conditioner and wifi than you are in the right place the gentleman that works over night is very helpful and try to assist the guest

I had a roof over my head and the location was convenient. That’s all it gets for me.
The bed was hard, hardly any window, super dark room! The shower was small and the water in the sink kept dripping. The flush was barely working and the AC loud.
For what I paid it was hardy worth it.

Our family stayed here for one night. The hotel is lovely and very clean. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and air-conditioning. The WIFI was relatively strong as well. The staff is extremely friendly and assisted us with all of our questions and needs! The breakfast was also delicious, but a little crowded and served late. We also did struggle a little bit with our phone chargers, because we did not own a universal adaptor. We believe we should have been informed about that beforehand. Overall, our stay was quite enjoyable, even though it was only for one night.

The hotel is near to a station in a good location. However, it was very dirty and the rooms were very smelly. The floor was grimy, sheets were stained, pillows stank of body odour and there was no handsoap in the bathroom. Breakfast was very poor with few options and it felt rather unclean. It was liveable for a few nights but glad to leave.

We booked 2 rooms, there was only one room reserved. I had my Expedia confirmation. Luckily they had a free room. I had to pay for both rooms, I thought I had paid through Expedia. He said it was only allocated against my card. I will check and let you know

Terrible, extremely dirty: stains on sheets, layer of dust and dirt on every surface, cups and glasses filthy, sheets smell of vomit, poor and un-accomodating service. I was told by the person at reception I could leave by bag after checkout until 7pm. The next day when I go to check out, another person at reception says nope can’t leave your bags. I had to then on the spot make other costly arrangements for my bag. Complete waste of money. And the room was definitely smaller than advertised.

Our overall experience was good. The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable and the hotel was conveniently located near a subway station and there’s lots of food stalls around the area. Most staff were friendly however the female receptionist during our stay was rude and unfriendly. All other staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Despite the bad experience with the female receptionist, we had a comfortable stay at Perak hotel.

Disappointing stay, worst hotel we've stayed at in Singapore. Hotel has the potential to be good, colonial style building, but is let down by multiple things. When booking months prior, we requested adjoining rooms but ened up on separate floors. The bathrooms were awful, I've never seen so much mould. It's the only time I've felt the need to wear slippers in the shower in Singapore. Found a massive black spider in my bed. Staff are not friendly. We were surprised there was complimentary breakfast, but it was disappointing. Not enough crockery, had to wait for dishes to be hand washed. Not a great selection of food. Super noisy, can hear people above you & in adjacent rooms & walking in the hallway. Can hear ?karaoke music to the early hours of the morning.
On the positive side, the location is great, close to Little India & Bugis. Rooms are spacious by Singapore standard.
