Comfortable rooms,although disappionted that my husband and I ended up in twin beds ,although they were larger than the normal singles.
The staff did not seem as helpful as our previous visit,but it was a busy time for them hopefully next year will be better.
The hotel is in an ideal situation for us so I'm sure we'll be back

Loved how close it was to subway, and bus routes. Hawker centre and also mall close by. Accommodations were excellent and well kept.

I had a fantastic stay at the Village Hotel Katong.
Room was very spacious, clean, modern, well decorated and had a balcony which was really nice. The bed was so comfortable and there was a nice table to do work as well as a big flat screen television. The Wi-Fi was very reliable and quick.
Bathroom was a decent size with a really good shower.
All the staff were extremely helpful, professional and friendly - checking in and out was quick and appreciated be able to leave my bags with concierge.
The breakfast was really good, plenty of variety and there was also a gym and a swimming pool.
The hotel is located literally a couple of minutes walkaway from the metro station and over the road is a lovely shopping centre as well as the impressive East Coast Park.
I would definitely stay there again and hope to do so soon.

We decided to stay in the east of Singapore close to our son. The hotel was in a great position for the mrt, small local bars and Starbucks! The hotel staff were really friendly and we would stay again when we return

I was upgraded to a suite. Though it comes with a separate room and a kitchen. I didn’t really use the space but it was great. The hotel really take good care of those members with higher tiers.

Peranakan style from old Singapore. Probably back in the day it was pretty cool, but furnishings are all a little tired now. Staff are very friendly and helpful. About a 15 minute taxi ride from Changi airport, but if you are not carrying much, Marine Parade MRT is a 5 minute or less walk to the hotel. Great hawker centre/local Singaporean foodcourt about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. THAT was the highlight of staying there.

The location is great in a unique Singapore neighbourhood and close to the brand new MRT line which takes you to Central City quickly. Staff were friendly and the room was clean. Breakfast was good. Downsides were noisy air conditioning and awkward shape of the bathroom. Some finishing is getting a bit worn and outdated. But would recommend.

From before arrival, arrival and check-in, our experience was simply amazing. The hotel kept our luggage until our room was ready and they even upgraded us to a corner suite that was simply lovely! We had the Peranakan Club package which included nightly snacks and drinks. The Peranakan Club also offered cold drinks during the day time. Leyla at the front desk was always so great to us! But even better was Chandran in concierge and the Peranakan Club. Such a great guy, very helpful and kind! Our breakfasts were simply amazing and that was also included in our room stay package. Being directly over shops and just a short walk from the metro station was definitely a perk! We walked to the waterfront as well as a huge shopping complex before joining our cruise back to the U.S. If we have cause to visit Singapore again, you had better believe we will stay here!

Great hotel - not near the city centre (but very handy for the airport) however it is so easy to get about in Singapore that is not an issue. The staff are great and breakfast is really good. Nice refreshing pool and a small but well equipped gym. Stayed here 3 times and cannot fault any of our stays. Local Katong streets give you a nice taste of the more traditional side of Singapore.
