EME Catedral Mercer Hotel

The stay was amazing starting with the welcome and introduction at the lobby. We were given coffee and water and the lobby smelled amazing as we waited for our room. All of the staff were exceptional and attentive to our needs. The views from the rooftop bar were terrific and the drinks and atmosphere were lively. We stayed here through the Spain national power outage and even that did not dampen our stay as we spent time in the rooftop pool. The rooms are comfortable and elegant, but really the team of people working here made the stay special.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were always extremely helpful and looked after us. The hotel is spotless and the location is amazing.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel the service was EXCELLENT. We loved every minute, the hotel is beautiful, especially the gorgeous rooftop pool and bar, and the room was a lovely size. Location is 10/10, we walked everywhere as everything was right on our doorstop. Will definitely be returning, thanks to all the amazing staff for being so lovely :)

we were at the property during the Easter celebrations. Therefore, the location of the property was excellent as we could see all the processions either from the rooftop the lobby or in front of the hotel entrance. The rooms are very big, but if you have a room that is facing the side streets, the lighting level is low and it can be improved. I think the hotel staff that works at the reservation desk can really improve in terms of their knowledge of the surroundings. Anytime you ask a question they’re not sure if a restaurant is open or it’s closed most of the time the answer is they’re booked. When we asked him how to get tickets to the Alcazar they said it’s all sold out till May. However, we found out if he can go an hour or two early standing in line you can get tickets which we did while I was standing at the desk, another tourist was asking the same question And the desk staff was saying oh it’s sold out until May. I’m very sorry. I told the tourist no that’s not the case you can go stand in line and be able to get tickets the next morning while I was walking out of the hotel same guest turned over to me and said thank you very much. We were able to go early and get tickets. Not sure how many English speaking guess the hotel has, but I think staff can improve their English as well there are lots of good restaurants around the hotel so I suggest try them whereas the hotel restaurant or even the bar is not that exciting overall the location is great

We had an excellent experience studying at this hotel. It was close to all the interesting sites and the staff was very professional. It was our first experience in Spain and it was outstanding

Outstanding Hotel! We were there during the Santa Semana celebrations. Both of our rooms had balconies that overlooked the processions. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Top notch staff that went well above our expectations. Best location, directly across the street from the Cathedral and easy access to all sites and restaurants. Amazing roof top bar with great views of the Cathedral.

Great location right next to the cathedral and a short walk from the tram station. Very clean rooms and helpful staff. Would recommend.

The air conditioner no work

Great location since it was next to the Giralda tower and many restaurants were located around the area. Also walking distance to the tram station or bus tours pick up/ drop off stations. Comfortable beds and great AC unit. Hard to find an actual AC that really cools down the room in Europe. Very quiet rooms. Easy check in and they were very helpful booking tours at the reception for you. Rooms was clean but shower area needed some attention for mold

The hotel’s location was great, but that’s about it. Our stay started poorly when we were given a room without a shower, though they did upgrade us to a larger room (fourth floor). However, it was right below a noisy terrace bar, and the room wasn’t soundproof. The gym was small, outdated, and not well-maintained. The spa was even worse—we paid €60 per massage plus €25 for spa access, only to be rushed out after 30 minutes without prior notice. The hotel refused to offer any reimbursement. Accessing the gym and spa was inconvenient, requiring guests to step outside—even in the rain—to reach a separate elevator. The layout felt poorly designed and hazardous. Staff engagement was minimal unless we were complaining. Overall, the hotel felt overpriced and more like a 3-star than a 5-star. We wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Very good hotel with excellent location.

Our second stay in the EME Mercer in 6 months, this time returning with our daughters. Upgraded to the penthouse rooms which was a fantastic surprise with amazing views of the Cathedral and city skyline. The staff at this hotel are fantastic, so accommodating and kind. The reception staff are helpful and the breakfast team great remembering drinks and food orders after only two mornings. We love Seville and I would not stay anywhere else now. We look forward to returning!

It’s a historic hotel in a very good location - short walking distance to main attractions. Very nice roof top. However, very loud at night (which is due to the area b/c of bars and church bells). I wouldn’t say this is a luxury property but a great, clean hotel based on location. Property needs a some maintenance.
