Hispano Boutique Gran Vía

A pesar de que no seguí las instrucciones de check-in que envían con anterioridad, pude hacerlo al llegar ya que el personal estuvo disponible para ayudarme fuera de horario. Luego tuvimos un inconveniente en nuestro cuarto y fue muy fácil conseguir ayuda, ya que el personal está disponible físicamente y por WhatsApp en todo momento. El personal no vaciló en buscar ayuda y remedios inmediatos. Le agradezco a todo el personal, en especial a Florencia por su detalle al cuidado y su dedicación y compromiso de hacer sentir muy bien al huésped.

Check in was a slight hiccup. I couldn’t find the email for after hours check in but the number they provided worked and the person helped us through the 2 door codes and printed our key card. Air worked perfectly, got a little too cold! Bathroom is small but to be expected in Europe. Shower pressure was fabulous. Some noise at night on the weekend but we were good with a sound machine. They have electronic black out curtains. The biggest success was I didn’t check the voltage of my hairdryer so it didn’t work but the hostal had a hairdryer WITH A DIFFUSER for my curls. 5 stars just for that. They let us stow our bags at check out. Close to walk everywhere and close to the metro.

Top notch location, I was able to walk everywhere!!! The staff were very friendly. The building is a bit old but it’s very well maintained. Highly recommended!!!

The location is great. Construction is going on on the top floor. Very noisy!!!! Staff not available at all times. Rooms do not get clean daily unless you requested. Towels once were white. Washed and air dried with no softener so they feel like sand. They definitely need new towels. The rooms are comfortable. I couldn't figure out how to bring the blinds down. Plus in location, size and the cleanliness. Although the staff can check to see if guests need anything in the rooms. Easy check in

My stay at Hostal Hispano Gran Vía was okay, but there were a few things that could be improved. The location was not the greatest and the property itself was quite hard to find. It is inside a dark, dingy looking building, with reception located on the second floor, which did not give the best first impression. There was not always a member of staff present, although there is a self check-in machine available. When the staff member was there, they were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. The single room was quite strangely arranged and felt very small. The TV was also very small, and the bathroom was compact too. The bed was not very comfortable, which affected the overall stay. Overall, the staff member I dealt with was helpful and friendly, but the building, room layout and comfort level could definitely be improved.

This is a gem of a place in a central location of Madrid — just a quick walk to the Plaza Mayor, the Prado, the Reina Sofia, and Retiro Park. Right near several different stops on multiple metro lines. Loads of shops, restaurants, and bars nearby. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful front desk staff — especially Israel! He was awesome. My room was at the end of the hall and the entire place was so quiet — pleasant surprise for a major city! I’d definitely stay here again.

Conveniently located, lovely staff, and clean accommodation. Check-in was a little tricky (emails with the relevant info ended up in my spam folder), but the staff was extremely helpful when I called the front desk. A bit of street noise at night but nothing too loud. Lots of good shopping nearby and well placed relative to the metro, I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Madrid!

Spent a City break at HIspano, Central location, just off the Gran Via and easy walking to most of the things we wanted to see. Transport links also very near. We arrived to be greeted by Israel, who couldn't have been more helpful. The room, while not large was very clean, with a good bathroom and AC which was welcome. Israel provided us with a few ideas of what to see and how to get there, which was very helpful. Yes, it's not a hotel, but we were only sleeping there and the Hispano provided the comfort needed to explore the City at a reasonable price.

My experience is that, the first time I stayed in a hostel compared to a hotel, the best air conditioning and mattresses were what I liked most. Apart from cleaning, the guys help you a lot, its location is very close to everything, I recommend it 100%.

La ubicacion es centrica ya que esta cerca de la Gran Via. Las camas eran semicomodas. El check in y check out fueron rapidos. Solo recomendaria una nevera pequeña.

Difficult check in, not very useful instructions, poorly kept place

I felt safe in there , it was a little hard to locate it but once you go through the doors it’s easy to access the inside. Everything looked clean and it was honestly a nice place to stay while visiting Madrid

The lack of a small refrigerator in the room, and room are too small, understandable about a hostel, but didn’t expect that small.location was excellent, near most downtown’s visiting points. In general it was a good experience. I would rate an 8.

Very clean room in an excellent location just a couple of blocks from Gran Via and Calle de Fuencarral (lots of shops). Underground parking is also about 3 blocks down the street. The staff was very responsive and helpful during the checking process and throughout our stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again for our next trip to Madrid.

Location was central to everything. Staff were very helpful and room clean. Very small rooms with even tinier bathroom. Amenities nothing to mention and zero toiletries.

Small but well designed. Functional for one Travellers.
