Hostal Sol Square Madrid

The location was perfect. Access was easy and I appreciate the security arrangements. The room was comfortable. The bathoom had a small shower-only stall. The staff was helpful. We used the laundry service which was reasonably priced and was delivered same day as promised. We also had breakfast twice which was very well priced and had a good variety of fresh food. Would recommend stay again. Elevator was available but was small (old building retrofit - totally understandable) so best for customers going up or dealing with luggage. We had a nice view of the street, which was quiet.

Very clean and quiet property. The room does get very hot and the AC did not work if your main lights were off in the room. Trouble sleeping when it’s hot.

First time in a hostal but don't regret it a bit after Hostal Sol. Super friendly/helpful front desk, especially Omar. Room clean, good location and near metro, restaurants and shopping, and decent neighborhood. Beds comfortable and room as quiet as could be expected. Breakfast was great. Would stay here again.

The hotel rooms were modern, very clean, and large for Europe. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is VERY convenient to walk to all sites, restaurants, shops. Gracias for an amazing stay!

Wonderful hotel at very fair price. All hotels on Expedia should be as good as this hotel, Everything from great staff to early check in to updated and modern/spacious room to rainfall shower to huge/comfortable bed and BEST LOCATION .

The location is perfect, can walk to the main must-see sites and museums. Staff very friendly and able to take care of issues very fast. Room very comfortable. Breakfast with menu for all type of people and the staff exceptionally professional and friendly. Only problems found: Walls are not that sound proof, so if you get noisy people in the next room, then sleeping becomes a little interesting. The hand shower is a little difficult to manage if you do not want to wet the bathroom floor because of the shape of the shower door. I will stay here again at any time. Recommendations: make the reservation directly with the hotel and always check for busy seasons to avoid highest price (there are many local festivities that attract nationals and tourists)

The hotel is very well centered on Madrid, walkable to the main attractions and important places on the heart of the city center … Very hood restaurants and places to eat near by and Puerta del Sol is just 5 minutes walk.. I recommend this hotel

Awesome staff, from frontdesk to housekeeping. Very walkable and convenient location to explore cities. Just small problem, walls are thin that you can hear the other person chatting in the their room, and the room was little bit warm. But still I highly recommend, this hostal if you looking to stay in Madrid. Still my hostal of choice when i go back to Madrid.

Dear sir kindly note this hotel is not the right address on your website. I have been looking this hotel for entire night and I got pneumonia because of that . This is absolutely unacceptable. I was wandering street for 3 hours . I called hotel they did not reply . Also the hotel name is written so small can’t even see in night

Quiet yet next to Metro Stop and walkable to all the main spots. Clean and has everything you need. 24 hr front desk with staff always ready to help.

Great location, great breakfast, nice room, excellent staff!

First, we struggled to locate this hostal as there was no visible sign along the street except for a small sign at the side of the door. We used google map to the location & unless you look closer at each sign on the gated entrances, you'll really miss it. Concierge and kitchen Staff are very friendly . Room is clean and bed is comfortable. However, the air conditioning was temperamental! woke up on nights either sweating or feeling cold! The toilet was slow draining on our 2nd night. Breakfast area is located on the neighboring door outside the building entrance which did not bother us. Breakfast is delicious,however, several of the food were not replenished promptly. The warm food containers are almost always empty when we get there by 9am. It seems that you have to be at breakfast by 7am to get the best of everything and have a place to sit in. Hostal is near the metro and bus points but we did not use them much as the main places that we visited are just walking distances. Plenty of restaurants/cafes and shopping nearby the hostal too.

Front desk staff was very friendly, room was comfortable and hotel was very well located. Great bang for the buck.
