Hotel Monte Carmelo

Lovely hotel in a good location. The lady at reception was very nice and welcoming. Rooms were quiet despite facing the main road. Shower was lovely but no fan in the bathroom.

Great hotel just across the river from the Cathedral and Real Alcazar in the Los Remedios area. A really good neighbourhood vibe but close to all the main sites.

Fantastic customer service and really lovely hotel, clean and located in a lovely area not far from the centre only a 20 minute walk with some lovely picturesque views when crossing the bridge. Would highly recommend. Only niggle was the Netflix wasn’t connecting for us which wasn’t much bother and we didn’t really ask to get it fixed

The hotel is in a perfect area near a pedestrian only street with many cafes and eateries. Onsite parking was full so we got instructions on a nearby underground lot about 3 minute drive and 2 minute walk. We arrived a bit early and they had a room available right away and the staff were very helpful and gracious. We took the HOHO bus around and wandered this beautiful city. One of the most wonderful places to visit and we would go back in a heartbeat because we couldn't see it all in one day (and we'd definitely stay in this hotel again too)

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We were able to walk to the city center.

Amazing hotel and stay. We came as a family of three with 10yo. The spa pool area is AMAZING, definitely make use of it! Hotel is well situated walking distance to attractions and public transport. Staff are wonderful. We left as the rains started and the lady at the front desk was fantastic, she helped us flag down a taxi and held an umbrella over us in the torrential downpours.

Nice place to stay. Local restaurants were not very accommodating.

Property was good and clean. Staff were helpful. Location was great as it was close to the central with loads to do. Breakfast was ok and you are not allowed to take it from the canteen which was tough after a long night. There was no iron while we were there, but there was a steamer, so come prepared.

The staff was amazing. The shower in our room was causing flooding in the room below so we had to leave the room until it was fixed (no big deal) as we were on our way out. It was my birthday and the staff surprised me with a nice treat of fruit and sweets and free drinks from the bar. Very thoughtful!

Liked the location outside of city centre but close enough to walk. A window with a view would have been nice instead of looking at an exterior wall. On-site parking very convenient.

Recently stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. We arrived before the check in time but were graciously told our room was ready and we could take our luggage up. This was a great start. The staff on the front desk were helpful and friendly, offering a map with guidance of how to get around the city from the hotel. We didn’t opt for breakfast at the hotel (€17pppd) as decided we’d rather get out and have it in the city, which was actually a far cheaper thing to do. Therefore, unable to comment on the breakfast. We’d booked a standard room and it was huge. Very large bed, a seated area with 2 arm chairs and a coffee table, a desk area with chair, coffee machine and mini bar. The coffee station was replenished daily, though unfortunately the bottled water was not. We didn’t use anything from the mini bar so cannot comment on the cost. The bathroom was very large and provided ample space for 2 people to use to get ready in the mornings. We were on the 4th floor and could only hear slight road noise, however we were normally awake by this point anyway. In a city like this, I think this would be unavoidable. The only slight negative comment is that our room was located near the stairwell which often had people chatting on it early in the morning (unaware if this was staff or guests) and the noise echoed - this did wake me up in the mornings. The hotel is located across the river from the central part of Seville but we enjoyed the short walk across the bridge each morning.

Standard rooms have a tiny window with a view into an internal shaft, and zero airflow. Air conditioning in winter blows infernally hot air only, regardless of setting. Tiny bathrooms in standard rooms. These rooms do not at all resemble the photos. Night staff were unfriendly but day staff were very courteous and moved us into a large room with a street light right outside the window. All rooms had extremely thin walls and doors; you could hear conversation clearly in neighbouring rooms into the night. A very poor experience.
