Hotel de Genève is an older building still showing all the traits of yesteryear. Perfect for my stay, close to the river, the train station and some excellent coffee spots!

Great hotel in a wonderful location in Geneva Switzerland. Only issue was no AC but they had a fan for air circulation.
Would definitely recommend when visiting Geneva!

The people at the front desk were super helpful. We were traveling from France and got there early. The front desk was able to get us a room as soon as it was ready. Being from the United States forgot how small of the rooms feel

Great spot, close to train and old town, lots of surrounding city life. They gave us a free bus pass. Church bells and a park across the street. Small balcony with a nice view. Wish they had AC, but the fan with open windows worked well. Funny staff and a nice croissant breakfast. Great value.

It was a wonderful old hotel in the heart of the city and reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. The staff was wonderful and amazing coffee for so cheap in the morning. I hope to return there one day.

We only stayed at the Hotel Geneva for one night as we ended our visit to Switzerland. We chose this hotel for its location close to the train station. We discovered it was also easy to walk down to the lake and enjoy more of the city. The hotel desk staff was very helpful and our room was small, but adequate.

The staff members were informative about nearby restaurants and other places in Geneva. I did have an issue regarding the wifi upon arrival The credit card was required for joining for security reasons and i have never had to do this ever before. My phone continued to indicate insecure network even after the staff member helped. This all made me feel insecure about providing my credit card for wifi. Another issue: There was no hair dryer in the room but was delivered after I asked. The outlet in the bathroom needed attention and I was reminded how I didn’t know how to add the wifi and now I don’t know what I’m doing with the hair dryer. I did not appreciate this treatment from the staff member. The beds were extremely hard and the pillows were old and lumpy. The train station and city tour bus were close by the hotel. Overall, the hotel experience was okay but certainly not as pleasant as I expected.

Worst hotel mattress I've ever slept in (rock hard and lumpy, old and discoloured under the clean sheets), view to a filthy interior courtyard, and loud hostel vibes (university block booking guests liked to chat in the common area right outside my room, at least never after midnight). The 'hair dryer' was from another era (a wall mounted U shaped tube situation) and it was either broken or I couldn't figure out how to turn it on.
Positive notes were the location, and the hot water never ran out and had good water pressure (though the shower was very, very small).
I come to Geneva often for work and usually get much nicer hotels for the same price I paid here, but this was a last minute trip and all the was left in budget. I'll avoid next time.

Abhorrent staff. I booked a stay for June which I immediately noticed was booked incorrectly for May instead. I was on the phone with them within 10 minutes of the booking to cancel/change my stay and the staff was extremely rude and would not refund me ANY of my money. On top of that the staff was incredibly unfriendly. I would avoid this place like the plague, they will try and swindle you.
