Hotel Matterhorn Inn

Great stay. We would have stayed longer if our trip allowed. Close to the train station to enable us to get to Zermatt, but better value. Great sauna!

I made a reservation and paid extra to get a hotel with a Mountain View and balcony at the Matterhorn Inn, and the night before, I was told without warning that they were moving me to their sister property called Hotel Porta Cervino. Our room was downgraded to a room that overlooked the kitchen and dump dumpsters, there was no balcony, and the room was stuffy. Because we were over the kitchen doorway, the cook and other staff from the restaurant, Wood smoke cigarettes, and their smoke would blow into our room if we had the window open. So unfortunately, we had to keep the window closed and deal with the hot, stuffy room. When I asked about the balcony in Mountain View room, they told me that hotel Porta Cervino was a higher rated hotel than the hotel Manor horn in, so they were upgrading me, even though they gave me a basic room. When we arrived at the hotel, we couldn’t check in, and the restaurant in the hotel was closed until dinner. Our whole day was disappointing, and I would definitely not recommend this hotel nor the hotel Manor Inn, because you would never know what you were going to receive for your money. if you don’t care about your room, and you’re just there to ski, this would be an ideal hotel to stay in, even though I thought it was really pricey for what you were getting.

They served nice breakfast and the dinner was delicious, great location.

It was clean, all amenities were provided sufficiently and we had an awesome view of the mountains. Highly recommended for anyone to stay here when visiting Zermatt.

Clean well situated nice place to go

The room was cleaned every day, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The gym is well-equipped with weights and cardio machines—enough for a full upper-body workout. There is also a spa with two saunas. The hotel's location is excellent: just a one-minute walk from the train station and three supermarkets. Breakfast was great; it was a standard English breakfast but with plenty of variety, including salads, cheeses, meats, local bread, cereal, sweet treats, and hot drinks.

Hotel is located right next to the train station. Very convenient for visiting Zermatt/Matterhorn. Hotel has an excellent restaurant attached and provided 2 free drink vouchers at check in. The free spa downstairs was very nice and the tap water excellent. Would 1000% stay here again.

Room was nice and they allowed is for an early check in.

Overall a great place to stay. Close to the shuttle, great food, clean room and lovey and helpful staff. Highly recommended. See you next winter.

Prefect hotel to stay! Is close to the stations especially we had a heavy snow period and easy to reach with luggage even we come from the station it just opposite!! Staff really friendly and nice ! Also with Sauna room is bonus!! The balcony is also enhancing the stays! Good view!! The only con is if someone neighbors talk in balcony is loud to hear unfortunately But overall we love it

They upgraded us to their sister hotel called Porta Cervino which was amazing. Brand new rooms, soft towels, luxury bedding. Staff was super helpful and friendly. They spoke English. I would 100% stay here again. 10 minute ride to Zermat.

Our train was late so they upgraded us to their other property and it was very clean and they were very nice

Too small for three person, no fridge in the room, the park was payable , even it was declared self parking available but no notification we should pay parking, no ventilation in the room. Third bed is uncomfortable

Clean and beautiful room, great housekeeping, close to the train and grocery stores, very nice breakfast

Restaurant was closed for the season. We bought our own meals from the supermarket and ate at the lounge area comfortably. I especially liked the spa and gym room at the basement where you workout or rest your body after a long day of walk. The facilities are well maintained and clean

Clean modern hotel ideal located across the street from the train station that takes you to Zermatt.

We were booked at this hotel but they changed us to their partner hotel. It was very nice. Great room and balcony. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful with our questions.
