The location is the best, only a few steps from the train station. The staffs are very nice and helpful in providing insights and information about things to do around the area.

The room is very clean, spacious and has a great view of the Lucerne riverfront. It is very close to the Lucerne’s train stain (Hauptbahnhof) and the hotel has elevator. Breakfast is very good and the staffs are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel when you visit Lucerne.

This was the BEST part of our 2 week trip. Excellent location. Walkable to everything! Money exchange right outside the door. Train station steps away. Lake, steps away. Mountains to die for! Shopping, restaurants, churches, attractions all easily withinh walking distance. And so quiet for a big city!!! We loved it and will stay at Hotel Monopol when we return!!!

The room was slightly bigger than a prison cell. There was fecal matter on the rim of the toilet. The shower was either hot or cold. It was difficult to get warm water. Worst part, no place to pull up a car to the hotel and check in. You had to find a parking garage and drag your bags to the hotel.

Our stay was great. We were on the 6th floor. Only negatives I had is that the rooms itself are quite old. The window had a display light pointed right at it and the curtains barely hid the light at night. Most of the room was pretty bright due to this.

The room is big and the beds are very comfortable. The location is good, just beside Luzern central station. Within walking distance to chapel bridge, the waterfront and old town. Very accessible. Nice staff as well.. I will recommend this hotel

Great room. Two big windows and plenty of space to open our suitcases. The bathroom was spacious and modern.
Very helpful staff. They arranged dinner reservations, gave us tea while we waited for the room to be ready, had apples for guests to take, and made us feel so welcome.
Location is excellent! So easy to get around. Steps away from underground shopping, trains, boats, and beautiful scenery!

Property is very outdated, carpets in the room were so dirty, couldn’t take shoes off. You could ask for slippers at the front desk though. But the bedding and bathroom were clean. There was some event happening during our stay, so it was impossible to sleep at night. In the morning there was garbage all over around the property. I would not stay again.
