This was a very pleasant surprise for us, the Riverhouse being much nicer than our normal motels and getting a free upgrade. The room was spacious and very nicely appointed. There was a patio with a fire table that we spent hours on right next to the river. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t be better.

I have been staying at the river house for well over 10+ years and religiously the last eight. I come into town for business and have enjoyed my stays. However, when I arrived tonight, I found out that due to a maintenance error, I didn’t have a room. it also was 1am in the morning. they sent me to another hotel which they said they booked me a room at however they wouldn’t answer their phone and the doors were locked. I went back to the River house and after about 15 minutes or so they found me a room downtown that was much more expensive than the one I originally booked and not in the area that I prefer But considering it’s now 2:15 in the morning, I’m happy to have a place to sleep. I’m not sure if they gave away my room thinking that I wasn’t going to be arriving however it was super disappointing.

Literally so beautiful and clean. We overlooked the river and could hear it which was spectacular. The rooms are very clean. The restaurant was a little pricey but delicious.

Stayed two nights with our family of 4 which included twin toddlers.
Pros: Great location, beautiful river views. Rooms were clean updated, comfortable & stylish. Toiletries smelled lovely. And staff were helpful.
Cons: No elevator and property not stroller friendly. This made it so that we couldn't really explore or enjoy the property. We wanted to try the restaurant, use the laundry & pool but these were too inaccessible to get to.
Our first night we were placed in a second floor room far from a stairwell because no other rooms were available, it was rough dragging our littles to & from the room to the point that we asked to please be moved to a first floor room for our second night. Staff were helpful and even upgraded us to a fireplace room our second night because no other first floor rooms were available.
Feel like it was a beautiful property and staff did their best to accommodate us but the property was not very accessible for our family. Great for couples, adults, or folks with older kids but families with young kids and folks with accessibility needs beware.
