The access is very good. The staff are friendly. The afternoon tea is a bit boring, but the breakfast is delicious. The room facilities are old, but they are clean and tidy. They even have a washlet. The shared spaces, such as the pool and gym, are also nice. This hotel is great value for money.

Room is neat, decorated and colors are cute, swimming pool is small and pretty. Breakfast is not much food but it is okay. Only one minus point is that the lobby is too hot, I don't know whether to cut costs and turn off the air-conditioner, the furniture is no longer as new as in the picture.

Quaint hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The included breakfast was fresh and high quality. The included afternoon tea service was a nice treat. The rooftop pool gets very busy by mid-late afternoon, with the loungers and tables quickly filled up. Overall, we really enjoyed our multiple night stay there.

We arrived tired and a little dazed — the doorman rushed to our GRAB, opened doors, took out our luggage and paid the driver cash bc we had not yet linked the GRAB app to our credit card. Such a wonderful welcoming!! He let us into the cheery clean hotel lobby, where we happily guzzled the welcoming fruity drinks, changed into our swim suits and hung out at the tiny rooftop pool while we waited for our room. Food and drink were readily available at the shaded bar and “afternoon tea” was another welcomed respite from the busy city. It’s not a spectacular feast - not English at all but a pleasant treat. The breakfast buffet is wonderfully presented and offers many flavours- mostly Asian style foods so my teen daughter found it tricky. I loved our room with the outdoor shower! I enjoyed taking the outdoor staircase instead of the small elevator. Location was perfect for us. I do recommend this hotel.

Right from the very first moment at arrival we were truly welcomed and looked after by the staff at the hotel. Our room was perfect and the amenities were fantastic. Room service was excellent. Breakfast was exceptional from the freshly cooked omelettes to the buffet breakfast. The rooftop pool at night was probably our favourite place to be after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. Sounds like I am 'gushing' a little about the hotel and staff but they deserve it! Having being a hotel manager of a similar sized hotel I can speak from a personal and professional point of view. Well done to the Au Lac Charner!

We loved this hotel and will definitely stay again. First, the staff were very friendly, courteous and professional. The breakfast was amazing, with a lot of variety and delicious vietnamese food. High noon tea was elegant and tasty. The pool and spa was very clean and relaxing. The location is the best part, everywhere you want to go is very walkable for food and shopping, including Ben Thanh market. Highly recommend staying here if you visit Ho Chi Minh!
