Room is neat, decorated and colors are cute, swimming pool is small and pretty. Breakfast is not much food but it is okay. Only one minus point is that the lobby is too hot, I don't know whether to cut costs and turn off the air-conditioner, the furniture is no longer as new as in the picture.

The room has a pleasant smell, not like the typical "hotel" smell, which is what I like. The location is great, right in the center. The room is very well decorated, peaceful, comfortable and pleasant, the view is also good. The food is a bit limited.

Great location. One block back from the infamous walking street and cafe apartments. Saigon Skydeck on your front porch. Handy convenient store and Michelin star restaurant “wild Rice” one door down.
Staff at accommodation so friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast selection (we had breakfast included on our booking). The room we had had a balcony and outdoor bath. A/C very comfortable. Did find the rooms quite dated, but clean and everything worked.
The gym area quite small and when there is more than 1 person in there it can feel quite intimate. Not a lot of space for a floor workout. Did not use the beauty services but they did provide. The pool was nice, but not a lot of room to sit if other people already there. None of the negatives bothered us as we were out and about mostly. I would stay here again and will recommend to other family and friends. Thank you Al Lac Charner for the comfortable stay and memories of a lifetime.

Was really looking forward to our stay at this property but were left disappointed.
Started off fantastic with attentive staff at the door and warm welcome through check in.
Unfortunately the free afternoon tea was extremely disappointing. Food choices were limited, dry and stale.
Breakfast was no different. Very Asian focused buffet options which I understand we are in Asia but hotel caters mainly to foreigners.
Stayed four nights and only used the Afternoon Tea once and breakfast once as preferred to pay for better food options elsewhere.
Pool was overly crowded and did not look like a relaxing place to hang out.
Room was ok however very dark (ensured we had booked a room with a window). Housekeeping did not service our room until after 4pm by which time we were back relaxing in our room so was inconvenient.
Amazing location, close to everything you need.

We had booked the bonard junior suite, which in the pictures showed a shower we could use. When we checked in and got our room, there was no shower only a bathtub. We asked to be switched to the room we saw and booked but they couldn't until the next day. The next day we switched and had the accommodations we expected. Other than that when we checked in we had no problems with the hotel. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The surrounding area has lots to do and choose from for dining. And the hotel is in a great spot of the city.

The stay at his hotel could not have been better. The room was clean and to an exceptional standard, the staff always friendly and attentive. It’s in a really good location in District 1, so lots of tourist sights are easily in walkable distance. Would happily stay here again

We have stayed here before , choosing to return because of the excellent service and value for money .we received an upgrade to a light filled spacious room on the 8 th floor which was lovely .Thank you to Kent who served us well during our entire stay .

Enjoyed our 4 night stay. Great breakfast and afternoon tea. Perfect location close to Saigon Square and walking distance to many sites. Room was spacious and outdoor shower was a fun experience. Friendly staff and great manager who is very involved with his work and team. Used their transfer out to the airport price was same as grab service. Loved that they were right by the Ganglands Central and a really convenient currency exchange near the Running Bean.

This is a nice hotel well situated for the main attractions in Ho Chi Minh.
The welcome was particularly good, and although my friend had an issue with his room it was dealt with pretty quickly.
The breakfast was good and the leisure facilities on the roof were nice but fairly small.
The Wi-Fi in my room was somewhat intermittent meaning I had to use more data than desired
However, on checkout things weren’t quite as good, even though I had paid an extra night for the room ( even though we were leaving that day) there seemed to be some issue with continuing to use the room before checking out just before 9 pm. Our driver to the airport turned up a little early and I got the impression that was concerned that we were leaving before checking out, even though the money had been settled at the beginning of the stay. The key was plucked from my hand at the moment we had finished with the room and this somewhat tarnished the view of the stay, whilst the Porter took our suitcases to the car but there was no goodbye or thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Au Lac Charner esp the afternoon tea included and breakfast! The staff were lovely. Location great…only issue was the rooms are dated and not esp. sound proof but hey we weren’t in the rooms that long except to sleep. Pool a bonus on the roof top - small and cozy outdoor space 😀

What a hidden gem! Beautiful hotel in a great location - opposite Bitexo Tower, 2 minute walk from main street, surrounded by good restaurants.
Breakfast & afternoon tea were varied, tasty & freshly cooked.
The stand out of this hotel though has to be the staff & management, they were faultless. They picked up from my partners passport that it was his birthday & presented him with a birthday cake at breakfast. They hand delivered a white rose to our room for me. They always had a smile & a hello for us. Absolute gems!
