I actually love this little quaint bed & breakfast. My family is from the island & when I want to stay more “local” this is my go to spot. Howeverrrrr, this last experience was a little terrifying. For context: My shoe sz is a womans 5. A humongous COCKROACH the size of my hand or foot, met me with zero fear in room 44. I screamed, tried to crush it, and to no avail (probably due to its obnoxious size) didn’t even flinch or scurry like most insects & rodents do when a human is near. The apps on the TV also did not work & I was advised by the young receptionist “we have to use our own accounts to sign in and enjoy entertainment” (weird) The water in 44 never, ever got hot. I was met with grace by Ms Joanne (manager/owner) & relocated to another room being told the roach was due to the water downpour just earlier and she also explained each room had hot water-aside from my experience. The room I was moved to, although beautiful, smelled of terrible old cigarette smoke. Like it was imbedded into the paint and/or furniture, not something that could be quickly aired out or febreezed. This room also did not have WiFi or TV entertainment. I was told it would take potentially days to a week to fix the internet/cable issue. The last room I was moved to #24 must be where “old money” patrons are put! It was huge, very modern and updated, every single app (Netflix, Hulu Disney+,etc.) worked without error. Wifi was 10/10 strong, and the water was piping hot!

Common areas were nice and staff was quite good but room though clean enough was surprisingly shabby particularly the bathroom which had a missing knob in the shower and the vanity was in bad shape. No smoke alarm either.

Staff was super friendly and welcoming! Breakfast was delicious and the view from the hill was lovely! The restaurant for dinner was delicious and drinks are amazing! Great location easy to get to black beard castle or take a quick taxi / walk to the ferry terminal to get to St. John. Just a quick drive to the airport. If you’re a beach hopper or someone on the go that needs a place to rest that’s clean and easy to access then this is your place!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. However the room is overdue for improvements. The balcony door did not lock and the water pressure was low on the upper floors. The steps are definitely a work out if you lots of bags.

By far the best deal on the Island. Walking distance to Main and Waterfront and Blackbeard's. Pool, full breakfast included, and dined at their restaurant.

No Hot water both days, had to take cold showers. Swimming pool ladder covered with rust. Exposed electrical wires on our balcony.

Staff was very friendly! Perfectly situated in town. Close to ferry and airport. Lots of steps!

Breakfast has very limited choices, only open between 0730 to 0930 & wont give u Bagel or anything if ur having an early day/tour unlike other places I have stayed. Only 1 waitress, but she’s nice. Parking very limited, it’s on d street- only 2 very tight space off street.

Room clean, maid service good, and great breakfast included. Parking can be limited.

Comfortable bed, walkable arsa, nice small pool with views, great and very friendly breakfast
