Banyuwangi Baru Station is the central station of Banyuwangi City. This large type C class station is located on Jalan Gatot Subroto number 36, Ketapang, Kalipuro, Banyuwangi. The location is only about 100 meters from Ketapang Port. Therefore, Banyuwangi Baru Station is included as the easternmost station on Java Island, and is only 100 meters from the Ketapang Ferry Port so this station is also often called the Ketapang Station. The station, which has been operating since September 1985, serves mixed and economic classes. The station is also open for local commuter trains and the Semen Tiga Roda freight train that departs from Nambo Station and becomes the longest railway network in Indonesia.
