Cilacap Station is a large class train station located in Sidakaya, South Cilacap, Cilacap. The station which is located at an altitude of +8 m is a train station located in the southern part of the Operational Area V Purwokerto and Cilacap District. This station has five train lines with line 1 as a straight line, but only lines 1-4 are often used.
This station is the last station at the Kroya-Maos-Cilacap intersection. This station is a parking lot for Purwojaya trains, Wijayakusuma trains, avtur cars (aircraft fuel), and several hydraulic diesel locomotives for yard activities to and from Pertamina depots.

The first established Cilacap station building had been damaged, therefore in 1943, new station building was built and can be seen up until now. The new station building was rebuilt by architect Thomas Nix. The first architecture of the Cilacap Station building was a neo-classical Empire like the other Staatspoorwegen (SS) state railway stations at that time, the main entrance and hall with high ceilings right in the middle, flanked by waiting rooms and other spaces on the left and right. The platform is shaded by the roof with the Polonceau iron horse.
