Information About Cipinang Station

Cipinang Station (CPN) is a train stop point in Cipinang, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. Specifically, this station is located between Cipinang Muara and Pasar Induk Beras Cipinang. Because it is integrated with the Jabodetabek Commuter Line on the Bekasi route, Cipinang Station connects Jatinegara Station and Bekasi Station.

Cipinang Station is located at Bekasi Timur Raya Street, Cipinang, Pulogadung, East Jakarta 13240, at +16 meters above sea level. Behind the station, there is Pasar Induk Beras Cipinang in the Pisangan Lama area. Meanwhile, there is a Cipinang Prison, Cipinang Muara, in front of the station. Even though this station has some lines, only three lines are actively used.

This station also has accessible transportation because many modes cross it.

Schedule of Train in Cipinang Station

During its active period, this station had some lines during its active period, yet only three were used. They were lines 2 and 3 as straight lines, and line 1 was for railroad interchange. With the activation of a double track on the Jatinegara-Cakung line segment on 12th April 2019, the number of tracks increased to four.

Previously, this station functioned as the end of the livestock train that served a round trip from the Kandangan-Cipinang route. Yet, this station has discontinued services for that type.

There is a depot car and a marshalling yard to store the livestock cars. Now, there is no train that stops at this station.

At first, Cipinang Locomotive Depot functioned as a storage place for some facilities, including inspection trains, locomotives, ‘kricak’ cars (it brings the ballast for the railway track), and infrastructure maintenance equipment owned by the Directorate General of Railways.

However, since July 2022, the Cipinang Main Depot has served as a parking lot for intercity trains from Pasar Senen Station. Previously, those trains were from Tanjung Priuk Station and Tanah Abang Station, especially those that had long cars

Meanwhile, the intercity trains from Gambir Station are still parked at the Jakarta City Train Depot in Taman Sari District, West Jakarta.

Unique Facts about Cipinang Station

1. Decommissioned and Structural Changes

This station has been deactivated since 2018, and since then, a new locomotive depot has been built north of the station. The original structure of its building had changed, including the new construction, which was finally demolished along with the operation of the dual tracks.
