Juanda Station (JUA) is one of the stations that serves the KRL Commuter Line in Jakarta. It is located at an altitude of +15 meters above sea level and is included in the type of class II train station, and is in the Jakarta Operation Area (Daop) I. The location is also quite strategic.
The exact address of Juanda Station is on Jl. Ir. H. Juanda 1, Pasar Baru, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta. The name of this station is taken from the name of the highway that is nearby. Regarding the history of construction of Juanda Station, it turns out that the station was originally a small stop that was officially opened on September 15, 1871.
As time passed, the bus stop became Noordwijk Station. Afterwards, it was renamed Water Gate Station. In the late 1990s, the Water Gate station was massively renovated and turned into an elevated station, until finally it was renamed Juanda Station.
Juanda Station was inaugurated on June 5, 1992 by President Soeharto along with Ms. Tien and his government by taking the KRL from Gambir to Jakarta Kota Station. Regarding the Juanda Station building itself, from the beginning of its establishment until now, it still maintains sky blue paint.
The station has two lines, the first one is the Bogor Line to Jakarta Kota. And the second is the Bogor Line to Bogor or Nambo. For those who want to take the KRL at Juanda Station, there are many modes of transportation to choose from. For example, there are Transjakarta buses, Transjakarta BRT, city buses, motorcycles, taxis, and others.
Juanda Station has good facilities. For example, there is an LED screen that contains information on LRT departures, there are also vending machines, prayer rooms, toilets, ATM areas, dining area, seats in several corners, and many others.
Every day, Juanda Station becomes the stop and departure for the Jabodetabek KRL. Some examples are KRL Blue Line Bekasi-Jakarta Kota round trip (PP), KRL Red Line Bogor-Jakarta PP, and so on. So you could say this station is quite busy.
