1. A Legacy of the Colonial Era

This railway line has a long history, with the Jakarta Kota-Tanjung Priok line built by the state railway company Staatssporwegen (SS) on November 2nd 1885, while the Jakarta Kota-Jatinegara-Bekasi line was built by the private company Batavia Ooster Spoorweg Maatschappij (BOS) on March 31st 1887.

2. Oldest Freight Train Station

This is the only and most historic freight train station in Indonesia and this is also the train station in the country which is equipped with upper and lower lines. The line on the lower level leads to Pasar Senen, while the line on the upper level leads to Ancol.
