Sindang Marga Train
PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), through Regional Division 3 South Sumatra and Lampung, presents Sindang Marga Railway as a rail-based public transportation service for Kertapati Station - Lubuk Linggau Station. This train provides mixed class services in one set, including Executive class and Business AC class. In operation, this train embraces the system of cross-night express train with only one route a day.
Regional Division 3 South Sumatra provides Sindang Marga Trains from Kertapati Station to depart at 20.00. The journey from the station in Palembang will take approximately 7.5 hours. Thus, this Sindang Marga train will enter Kota Lubuk Linggau Station at about 03.30 the next day. From the other side, KA Sindang Marga is ready to depart from Lubuk Linggau Station also at 20.00. The time of the journey is also similar with the two towns within a distance of 330 kilometers, so that the arrival time is also the same as Sindang Marga train going to Kertapati Station.
In this trip, Sindang Marga Train is recorded to stop at Kertapati Station, Prabumulih Station, Penanggiran Station, Tebingtinggi Station, Muarasaling Station, Kota Padang Station and Lubuk Linggau Station. Special for travel destination to Lubuk Linggau, KA Sindang Marga also stops by at Gunung Megang Station, and Bungamas Station. Meanwhile, Kertapati's destination has more transit stations. KA Sindang Marga also stops at Lahat Station, Sukacinta Station, Banjarsari Station, Niru Station, Prabumulih Baru Station, and Lembak Station.
Providing Business and Executive class services, KA Sindang Marga ticket prices are offered to customize selected classes. Ticket rates for Business Class passengers range from Rp110,000 to Rp130,000. Exclusively for Executive class passengers, tickets are offered from the cheapest price of Rp140,000 to the most expensive, Rp170,000. The price variations of each train class also depend on the subclass (seating position), ticket reservation time, and travel time. As a mixed class train, KA Sindang Marga also provides facilities to customize the passenger class. The main differences lie in the comfort of the seat and the passengers’ comfort. For public facilities, both Business and Executive classes, offer passenger cars with air conditioning, TV, luggage cabins, toilets, electric plugs and small tables on each passenger seat. A paid-meal service is also available on the train, for all classes of passengers.

The inaugural trip of the Sindang Marga Railway took place in 1986.
The train series
Sindang Marga Train runs with the pull of CC201 Locomotive. Behind it, there are more or less a series of nine trains. The arrangement of trains in this series of trains is one unit of the generator train, two units of the Executive train, one unit of the power plant train, four units of the AC business train, and one unit of an aling-aling train (a train without passengers and functions as a shelter/protector).
Valentine's Day Promo
Regional Division 3 Palembang often holds special promotions to welcome special days. One of the most unique and valid promotions which is also on Sindang Marga Train is the "February I'm In Love" promotion. This promo is available to welcome Valentine’s Day which falls on February 14 each year. In 2017, KA Sindang Marga provided special discounts for Valentine’s Day. Every day, there were 14 randomly selected seats in a series of Sindang Marga train which were offered with special prices, ie Rp85.000 for Executive class and Rp70.000 for Business class. This promo was valid for three days from 14 February 2017. It is possible that this promo will be present in the following years.
