Kutojaya Selatan Train
Kutojaya Selatan Train is an Economy class train, connecting Kutoarjo Station (Purwokerto)-Kiaracondong Station (Bandung). The mass railway transportation is presented by Indonesian Railway Company PT KAI and is under Operational Area 5 Purwokerto. Kutojaya Selatan Train connects Purworejo in Central Java with Bandung in West Java, covering the distance of about 400 kilometers. Kutojaya Selatan Train travels at 60-100 kilometers per hour so that the trip takes about 7.5 hours.
Kutojaya Selatan Train serves the passengers going to Purworejo and Bandung, back and forth once a day. Kutojaya Selatan Train leaves Kutoarjo Station at 9.20 in the morning and departs at Kiaracondong Station on 16.41. For the reverse trip, the train leaves Kiaracondong Station at night, on 21.00. The train then arrives at Kutoarjo Station at 04.31 in the morning. The ticket is a flat fare ticket, it cost Rp62.000 per passenger.
Kutojaya Selatan goes through the south lane. The scenery all along the trip is very beautiful and refreshing because the train passes through the mountain track. The train also stops at 13 train stations. The main stops are Kutoarjo Station, Kebumen Station, Karanganyar Station, Gombong Station, Kroya Station, Maos Station, Kawunganten Station, Gandrungmangun Station, Sidareja Station, Banjar Station, Tasikmalaya Station, Cipeundeuy Station, and Kiaracondong Station.
As an express air-conditioned economy class train, Kutojaya Selatan Train provides the standard facilities usually provided by PT KAI. The main facilities in each of the passenger carriages are two units of air-conditioner, toilet at the end of the carriages, leather seat, two power plugs on every fourth seat, small desk beside the window, and dining service. Kutojaya Selatan Train is also selling food and beverage and can be ordered from the train stewards if they want to dine on their seat. For those who wish to have a more comfortable sleep, pillow and blanket are available for additional fee.

Train History
PT KAI inaugurated the initial launch of Kutojaya Selatan Train on May 31st 1977, at the same time with Sawunggalih Economy Train which is now known as Kutojaya Utara Train. At that time, the Kutojaya Selatan Train was called Sawunggalih Selatan Train. So far, there is no confirmation of when the name was changed into Kutojoyo Selatan. As for now, Kutojaya Selatan is connecting Kutoarjo-Kiaracondong Station with two train numbers, which are Kutojaya Selatan Train 203 for Kutoarjo-Kiaracondong route and 204 for Kiaracondong-Kutoarjo route.
The Train Series
Kutojaya Selatan Train is operating using 3 kinds of locomotive. The locomotives are type CC201 (one of the most success locomotive in the country), CC203 (using diesel machine with two stages of Turbocharger so the machine power is bigger), and CC206 (the latest diesel-electric locomotive which has bigger power from other types). In a train series, Kutojaya Selatan Train pulls eight economic carriages, one generator train, one dining cart, and one empty carriage. Each of the economy carriage in the Kutojaya Selatan Train has 106 seat capacities, so that in one trip, each carriage can transport up to 848 passengers. Summarize in total, the train can transport at least 1600 passengers daily.
