Singasari Train
Singasari train is an express train with economy and executive classes. The train began operating on July 17, 2017 and under the Operation Area VII of Madiun. The Singasari train serves Blitar - Pasar Senen route which can accommodate up to 1,670 passengers. This train is equipped with various facilities, ranging from air conditioners, toilets, light air extinguishers, to food providers.
The Singasari Train makes one departure every single day. The train will cover a distance of 880 km and take around 15-16 hours. Trains with a width of 1,067 mm can usually go around 60-100 km / hour. For departures from Blitar Station, the schedule is available at 6:40 am. Meanwhile, departure from Pasar Senen is available at 12:25.
The mixed type train has a different price range, depending on the type of class / subclass chosen. For the executive class, prices are in the range of Rp. 350,000 - Rp. 400,000. While in economy class, the price is around Rp. 250,000 - 350,000. In the executive class, passengers get a reclining- seat facility with a 2-2 seat arrangement. For economy class, the available seats are arranged with a 2-2 seat configuration with 90 degrees upright seats.
Interesting Information about Singasari Train
The presence of the Singasari Train is a replacement for the Krakatau Express Train with the Blitar - Merak route. The Singasari train shortened the previous route to Blitar - Pasar Senen. The Krakatau Express train stop also falls on the same date as the first operation of the Singasari Train, which is July 17, 2017.
The name "Singasari" used to be the name of several other trains, such as the Singosari Senja economy train with the Malang - Pasar Senen route and the fluctuating business-class train, Malang Singosari Express.Â
Singasari Train has added its executive car since February 2, 2019. This is the result from passengers’ survey who prefer the convenience of long-distance route travel. Currently, the capacity of 3 executive Singasari train cars is 150 passengers.
