Situated at an elevation of +695 meters above sea level in Kertajaya, Padalarang, is the Padalarang Station (PDL) rail station complex. This station serves two categories of railway transportation: the KAI Commuter Line and the Whoosh high-speed train operated by the Indonesian China Fast Train (KCIC). The complex consists of two distinct station buildings, one maintained by KAI as a class I station, and the other by KCIC. A footbridge connects the two structures.

Multiple transportation options exist from Padalarang Station to the city center and other places like Bandung and Cimahi. One commonly used option is to utilize public transportation services, such as trains, buses, and taxis. Near the station, there are bus terminals or stations that provide transportation links between Padalarang and various locations, including downtown Bandung and Cimahi. Unique Facts About Padalarang Station 

Padalarang Station, established in 1884, first served as a bus stop that coincided with the railway line opening between Cianjur and Bandung. This is a component of the inaugural railway infrastructure development initiative in Priangan, precisely the Bogor-Bandung route. 

This line is a component of the inaugural railway building endeavour in Priangan, namely the Bogor-Bandung route, spearheaded by a Dutch-owned enterprise known as Staatssporwegen (SS). The SS initiated the building project at Padalarang Station in 1878, which included the involvement of European, Chinese, and native foremen to measure and chart the route.
