Breakfast was a bit of a disaster. Ordered 2 poached eggs just as another visitor ordered 2 poached eggs. It would seems the chef was told to cook 2 poached eggs. After waiting about 10 minutes 2 poached eggs were produced and the other visitor took them. I asked the chef about my 2 poached eggs. He had no idea anymore we're requested. He said 3 minutes. By this time the rest of my breakfast was cold. 3 minutes later the chef said my eggs would be another 2 minutes. I cancelled at this point. I don't argue with chef before they cook my meal (trust issues). I ended up having nothing to eat at all. A very expensive rubbish breakfast experience.

Great place to stay Very central and a short walk to most things No A/C but fortunately the weather was cool The biggest complaint is not being able to open the windows because of a security strap. This was a great disadvantage

The bed was comfortable. Upon leaving there were no luggage carts available. There was a convention going on and my husband had to bring our luggage down one piece at a time. I am disabled and couldn’t help him.

Everything was great however is time to have a proper air conditioning system. Is too hot for a fan.

All the staff we came into contact with were excellent and very accomodating. Good choice of food at a reasonable price from the bar. Choice & quality of breakfast items was good. Room is a little dated but comfortable. Biggest downside is teh lack of air conditioning.

Good base to explore New Forest. The restaurant onsite has a good menu. Be aware, the Gym and pool allow only 12 guests at a time, so you might have to wait sometimes. Parking available at the hotel for £12 per night.

Don't bother with this place, try next door. To be fair, there was an IT glitch that staff had to work around. However, while some staff treated me like a person—notably K, who told me she was from Ukraine—others did not. It seems that the management knows that this place is on borrowed time and wants to collect money for doing as little as possible. One member of staff wasn't even motivated enough to tell me the correct pricing for breakfast.

Being a four star hotel you would expect some standards and more amenities in the room. Check in wasn’t great, waited quite some time for it, room as said earlier I would have expected more amenities, like slippers, bath robes, breakfast too more hot food options, not just full English breakfast.

The staff member who booked us in was rude about parking cost and added breakfast I thought the hotel was extremely overpriced £12 parking £18 breakfast each 3 rounds of drinks £15 per round so will not be staying there again when we go back to southampton in september The water in the fridge should have been informed it was complementary and not enough coffee sugar and milk

No air conditioning in the hotel. It was 86 degrees. Can open the window but barely. Even the restaurant was hot. Bathroom was clean but needs a serious facelift. On the plus side, very close to the train station and cruise terminal. Staff was very friendly.
