Novotel Southampton

Nice hotel comfortable. Lovely pool small but suited us. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Only issue we had was the fire alarm going off at 11 pm (not great with small kids) which is Beyond the staffs control.

Didn’t make it because Expedia did not honour the tickets I paid for. The flight from guernsey to Southampton, I turned up and they hadn’t put me on the flight. Would like a refund but not sure you are a honourable reputable company!!! Not judging by this experience!! Never book with Expedia!!

Did not hear any noise from adjoining rooms. Still able to sleep comfortably despite having no air conditioning. Pool was fine for the kids. Parking was expensive but convenient!

The hygiene of the breakfast restaurant is a problem. There were several ants crawling on the food display table, and it was very unpleasant that the staff didn't even try to catch them after I informed them. During my two-day stay, I was supposed to receive two bottles of water per day, but instead, I was only given two bottles at once. When I asked for a refill of the water the next day, they refused. Additionally, the facilities seemed outdated, and I felt that it did not meet the standards of a four-star hotel, but rather fell short of even a two-star rating. - [ ]

Lovely hotel...really clean, friendly staff, great breakfast, close to the station, fridge in room and nice little pool.

Better than any other mainstream hotel I have been at in america or the EU. The rooms are clean and look to be recently refreshed. A few quirks to the design of the hotel bathrooms, but par for the course in europe. One odd thing is my room had a queen and a sofa with a built in bed.. Which had been pulled out and made up. Not a big deal but not neccessary. Staff were amazing and easy going. Bar staff was also very attentive. My go to if I am in Southampton for sure

Easy walk to City Cruise Terminal if your ship is docked at that one.

Good stay, didnt realise there was no A/C, but not a main problem. Getting unto the shower (over the bath side) was awkward, one in the shower it was very slippy underfoot. Front of desk stasff were very friendly and helpfull

Overnight stay prior to cruise the following day. Room really big and clean, toilet separate from The shower/bath room, not sure I like that . Staff lovely, didn’t have breakfast. Man on the bar very friendly and chatty. Lovely stay

They started drilling right next to my room at 9am. No one told us this was going to happen. Pretty bad.

Easy access, large carpark, very close to Dock gate 10, short drive to dock gate 4. Shops and restaurants nearby.

Breakfast was very good - with plentiful items.

Lovely hotel. Ideal for the port not far from the train station. Everything so close together ❤️

Room was fine, good for the rate we paid. Hotel lobby smelled terribly of fish but our room did not smell and the hotel was within walking distance to the Southampton port where we caught our cruise ship

Once a good hotel trying to do its best, with cleanliness being the biggest weakness. The chargeable car park is shared with 3 hotels and prepaid parking is based on first come first served.

Great location near to city centre and close by to peppa pig world
