Beautiful large room, in good decorative order with nice products, ample parking and lovely rural views. Breakfast is not cooked to order, which for the price of the rooms might have been expected, however for a hot buffet it was pretty good and the cold buffet was also good quality. Friendly and helpful staff. Didn't have time to use the spa.

A bit of a double sided review. The staff were lovely and the grounds of the hotel were lovely as well. It’s a Gorgeous historical building but I feel like it could do with some upkeep. The corridor to our room wasn’t the best as there were signs of damp. The room itself was a lovely size with a back door leading into a lovely little courtyard. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast as there wasn’t much variety and it wasn’t all that nice, the scrambled eggs and the bacon were really rubbery. The spa wasn’t much of a spa as the hot tub was out of order and the majority of the lockers in the changing rooms were broken. It’s shame because it had a lot of potential to be really great but I feel like with a little bit of care it would be a lovely place to stay. At this moment in time I wouldn't recommend staying here

The bed was worn out on both sides - dents where people have worn the mattress.

Evening meal in restaurant was ok main was delicious but dessert was a let down completely. Rooms was lovely and clean downside was the two single mattresses squashed together to make a double and the tv signal was a hit and miss. All in all a lovely weekend break away!!

When we arrived there was only a hand towel in the bathroom, also a ight bulb had gone so very dark in the room. We couldn't ring reception, so had to walk down there. THe first two issues were rectified quickly, but the only answer got regarding the phone was that someone must have borrowed it and they would look into it. Also had to move furniture to plug in the hairdryer and see ourselves in the mirror. TV took 10 mins to warm up. Seating in restaurant was awful - very low compared to the tables. Also disappointing menu including a Quattro Fromagio pizza with only 3 cheeses - one was Edam - not a typical pizza cheese. Sadly the place needs some TLC and better management. OK if you get a cheap deal to stay there.

On arrival to reception we over heard a complaint that wasnt being handled discreetly and sounded like it hadnt been dealt with properly. The room was ok but it was cold. On returning back from an evening out we fou d the room still cold, no heating, the door handle on the inside was held on by 1 screw, and the bed lock holding the two beds together broken. I teied calling reception with no response. Wrnt diwn to reception to find a note saying night porter away from.desk use radio for attention. There was no instructions to use the radio. Night porter could only offer a small heater as fully booked which had to be left on all.night to keep the room warm which it wasnt designed to do. No offer of extra bedding. Spoke to the manager next morning who was professinal and dealt with the complaint as she should taking notes and apologising. On the plus side ahower was hit and breakfast ok but the standard of ths hotel needs to be better with some maintenance updating to fix some quite dangerous pdoblems

Check in was good. Room spacious but very tired but comfortable Although it appeared clean it was grubby. Stained carpets, cracked window, mould around bath

The room was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. I had room 7, not much of a view from window though, it looked straight out at the air vent for the kitchen so occasionally had cooking smells wafting into the room, other than that a pleasant stay.

Comfortable, spacious and welcoming

Room spotless except for the damaged waste bin in bathroom. Room spacious and tastefully decorated. Bed very comfortable. Loved the large bath. Enjoyed breakfast. Great selection. The only issue we had was poor lighting.

The staff were fine. However the property was in great need of attention. Furniture in room was ripped, water tepid, property generally in need of a thorough cleaning. Property has great potential but needs attention for it to realise that potential.

Rooms and spa excellent. Food very good Service in restaurant a little disappointing. Young Indian girl was reluctant to seat 4 of us together. Then we were missing a table setting and then she filled our water glasses with a degree of impatience, spilling water on the table .
