I have been staying at Crabwall Manor Hotel approximately once a month since 2014 when I travel for work at Chester. I found the room are very big and comfortable and staffs are very friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Very noisy rooms, too many people accessing the spa facilities at one time and was overcrowded with people fighting for space in the jacuzzi

Overall a great hotel. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were great and breakfast was excellent. Swimming pool was very clean, however the changing rooms need a lot of work, locker doors hanging off and even missing. Around the jacuzzi the panels were broken. Evening meals were very limited menu in my opinion and rather expensive. Overall though a great stay. Just spend a bit of cash please and fix the simple stuff.

Good facilities and really good size room. There were no spare pillows in the room (I don't want to have to ask), no toilet brush in the rest room which is fine if maid service makes a good job of cleaning the toilet; which they didn't. Beginning of mould in shower could have done with a deep clean in bathroom.No air conditioning in rooms really isn't good enough in this day and age. Also used for corporate clients/company retreats/training and they seemed a bit rowdy, need to actively manage this.

The check in process was hard work at the actual hotel. Check in was meant to be from 3pm, but when I asked about our room at 3:45pm I was told it was not ready. I then raised the fact that it was in fact 3:45pm, then suddenly my room was available. The hotel looks dated in a number of areas and the downstairs WC's were not very clean or well stocked with paper towels, etc. Our suite had a number of cobwebs that we observed. The bars range of products was limited and they did not stock pineapple juice 😕 which for someone that does not drink carbonated drinks was quite frustrating! Thr breakfast area seemed to be lacking in staff and the tables were not being cleaned after people had dined, the tables were just cleared and then set for the next person. The coffee being served at the hotel and at breakfast was absolutely dire tasting, and at £3.50 a cup you at least expect it to be drinkable. The only positive is the bed was comfortable.

Upgraded our room at good price. TV not working and found out it was known issue. Said they would substitute it but did not. Room spacious but tired; bathroom massive. Main door handle coming off. One bedside lamp missing. Sink and bath taps leaking. Looks like no masking of mirrors and fittings was done when last painted. Nice garden but that was only accessible once wedding was over. Did not use pool or spa. The poor maintenance, TV issue and tiredness did not ruin stay as such, but were disappointing.

Friendly and attentive staff. Lovely big clean room with a bath and a shower. Tasty breakfast with plenty of choice. Nice outdoor bar area to sit in when its good weather. Pool, sauna and spa were good but locker rooms were a bit of a let down with broken lockers. Some areas of hotel are showing some signs of wear and tear and need a touch up but the room, bar & restaurant areas were nice and in good condition. We enjoyed staying here and had a good time.

Good location and staff were excellent.

Stayed overnight in a junior suite, large room and bathroom (great shower) but in need of a bit of maintenance. The terrace door would not open and the TV didn't work. No aircon, a small fan and windows that only opened a few inches made it very hot too. No water in the room either.

Very nice hotel lovely grounds and a great spa Only thing I would add is they closed the bar at 10.30 pm when they say closes at 11pm which some guests were not happy about. But would still return and stay again.

The room was very nice and clean, however the overall hotel does need a bit of TLC, but overall a good hotel to stay up for business purposes

We loved our stay and couldn't fault it. It's a bit tired in places and could do with a coat of paint.

The bathroom was covered in mould/ spores where the tiles had not been cleaned. I was so disappointed. I never noticed this until the following morning of my visit and I have taken several pictures. This can affect your health in many ways.

Lovely stay, really quite stay for work

I’ve stayed here twice and the reviews would be the same. Lovely building, nice spacious rooms with comfy bed, friendly staff, good amenities. The reasons that stop this hotel getting an excellent rating are: Each time I sat in the outside terrace area most tables were full of dirty dishes and glasses. There are not enough signs around the hotel to guide you. I went to wrong room to eat dinner and breakfast. I opened a store cupboard as it was next to the corridor entry door. The food at dinner took too long to arrive and needs some help with presentation. I ordered the fish cake that looked and tasted just like a supermarket option. It was overpriced.

The bed was very uncomfortable!!! It dipped in the middle so it was quite difficult to lie flat. The balcony only had one seat on it but, as we couldn’t get the door open anyway, that wasn’t a problem. I didn’t take a shower cap with me as I expected the hotel to provide a selection of toiletries. It didn’t. The shower head was a bit loose and out of my reach and, at one point, it was actually pointing at the wall with most of the water running down the wall. We definitely would not return and would not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Perfect

Although the stay started off quite badly with unfortunately a few issues, after having a conversation with the manager, all my concerns were addressed. In fact, the manager went out of his way to resolve things and I congratulate him for that. The staff generally were a mixture of inexperienced and helpful. An example being a couple of problems at breakfast, however with the evening meal ( which was for a special occasion), the restaurant manager in particular was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and totally transformed our stay from being quite mediocre to a lovely stay. It is worth mentioning that the quality of the food was excellent and the recommendation from the restaurant manager, spot on ! The suite that we had was very comfortable and although maybe in need of some redecoration in areas, it was a nice place to stay. On this occasion, we didn’t use the Spa so won’t comment on that. The final question being would I stay there again and I think the answer is a definite yes, overall we enjoyed our stay in a lovely hotel in a nice comfortable room.

Very friendly staff, family room was excellent with lots of space. Perfect for a small family. The room was lovely and clean, with plenty of towels.
