We were privileged to stay in a gorgeous suite in Fairmont Gold. We were celebrating Mother's Day and my daughter's birthday. Michael of the Fairmont Gold Desk Team went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. They helped me decorate the room for my daughter's birthday. Room service and restaurants were exceptional. On the Fairmont Gold floor, they have beautiful breakfast and snacks throughout the day late afternoon early evening hors d'oeuvres and incredible desserts, coffees soft drinks juice beautifully done. Impeccable. We enjoyed playing Scrabble and looking out at the beautiful harbor from the Fairmont Gold living room family room area. It feels like you were going back in time staying at the beautiful Fairmont Empress. The service is extraordinary and the feel and ambience of this gorgeous hotel makes you feel momentarily lost in time in the best way. We will be back soon.

Everything about hotel was excellent

This is the ultimate place to stay in the harbor in Victoria. The views and ambience are top notch. Carriage and hop on hop off bus are within a block. Water taxis buff around in front of the hotel. High tea is a luxurious treat.

Beautiful property with an excellent staff. The restaurants are good and the day is comfortable located right downtown in the heart of everything.

Lovely time spent at the hotel for our stay. Walking distance from the hotel to dining, sightseeing was perfect for us. The hotel staff was friendly and generous as well!

While the Fairmont is grandiose, clean, and staff make an exceptional effort to ensure you’re cared for, for $800 a night it leaves a lot to be desired. We booked a “city view” room and our windows were 2/3 fogged to block the view of the alley. It was very loud (big trucks, etc). The room itself was clean, mattresses and pillows were nice, the bathrooms are old and tiny and overall disappointing. Additionally, it took over 4 hours for us to get our luggage after the bell hop had taken it. Staff worked hard to remedy this and we appreciate that. Despite this, for $800 a night I would not stay here again.

Breakfast and Dinner selections and quality of food were top notch. I had a great room, quiet and great view. Staff were all very friendly even those that were clearly busy. I love using pools/hot/tubs/saunas and they were excellent. Really no complaints.

The upgraded gold status was fantastic as it allowed access to the lounge with food and drinks all day. I would highly recommend it!
