Arrived on Sunday evening. Check in was a breeze. Lady on reception was lovely and really helpful. The room was lovely, huge comfy bed. Nice view of the lake and the smallest pub in Britain! Great bathroom. Very quiet on the 5th floor. Parking seems really safe. Lovely hotel in a lovely location. Walking distance from the town centre, beach, supermarkets…..

Beautiful room, lovely sea view, the only negative was the discrepancy in the website bar prices and the hotel bar prices. When I queried they just said they'd had a problem with them not matching up and my large wine was nearly £5 dearer than the website price! Just meant I only had one!

First impressions from the outside were not great as it really doesn’t look like the pictures and is very weathered. Staff were fantastic as was the breakfast. Room had everything we needed, however shower leaked below barrier onto floor and the soap trays were not very clean which was a bit off putting. Some of the furniture looked a bit worn but and the lack of a mini bar is a glaring omission as we had to go down for a bucket of ice twice. Other than that we did enjoy our stay although I do feel customers should get cheaper parking given the cost of the rooms.

One night (Tuesday) stay after a theatre visit. Haven’t stayed at the hotel since the Ramada days and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Obviously had been referred since we last stayed and very impressed with it room very clean, nice sized bathroom (although a little high getting in bath for a shower ok for me as I’m 6-2 but a little struggle for her who is 5-4). Bed super comfy lovely nights sleep. Nice selection of tea coffee etc. no fridge in room which was not an issue for 1 night. Staff pleasant and helpful. Didn’t eat at hotel so cannot comment. Overall Excellent 5 ⭐️ 👍

Stayed for 2 nights for the races with friends. Superior double was really comfortable, sizeable enough and clean. Staff were very friendly. Ate fish and chips in the restaurant the first night which was lovely and served promptly. Buffet breakfast offered hot and cold and all we needed. Would stay again.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Southport hotel and these were some of the tiniest rooms I’ve ever seen. We probably should’ve looked closely at the measurements of the room. We had a bunch of luggage as we were visiting from Australia. Brekky was good, people friendly but rooms too small and beds were very uncomfortable.

The hotel is easy to find on the edge of the marine lake. The reception staff were friendly and kind enough to upgrade us to a superior room. The hotel was clean and smart, the room was comfortable with choice of tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet and with excellent blackout curtains. Literally nothing to dislike about our stay.
