The hotel was lovely. However, there are certainly areas around the food and drinks that can be worked on. We had cocktails in the lounge area and it was clear that the barman had no idea as he made our Margherita with lime cordial. It was replaced by a much more efficient staff member. Our room had a Lounge Service menu but when we went to the bar, there were limited options and we were not permitted to order some items. Why??? We don’t know! Breakfast the next morning was cold. We were there at7.00am opening time but the ‘hot’ food in the Bain Marie was cold, or at best Luke warm. For such a highly regarded hotel, I believe they can do so much better.
