My review is mixed! For a person without mobility issues I would give it 3*’s. The property was clean, the rooms spacious, bed comfortable and nice to have a little kitchenette in the room as well.
On the downside I want a plug that once put into the sink there is a way to take it out again, but I couldn’t find on, so I had to clean my teeth over the kitchen sink!
I also HATED that there was no-one in reception to greet you on arrival, and that I didn’t see a member of staff during my trip. This would have helped the check in process rather than being sent a couple of YouTube links on how to get into the property … which in turn lead me to YouTube videos about the hotel appearing on a certain TV program - I’ll leave you to discover that one! :-)
Sadly, as a person with mobility issues, who actually messaged the hotel asking them if there was a lift for a second floor room, because I had walking difficulties and couldn’t manage stairs.
There was a lift, but once I was on the second floor there were 2 steps, followed by a small landing step, and then around 5 or 6 more steps. There was no handrail to assist and immediately at the top of the second lit of steps there was a heavy door you also had to grapple with.
Once in the room, despite the room that on the whole was fine, to get into the shower there was a huge step up, around 10” high, but no grab handle on either the inside or outside, so it was impossible for me to use this facility because of fear of falling.
