The only plus point for this hotel is the location, nothing else. Staff is not friendly, almost no service. We reached the hotel about 9 AM when we reached the lobby, there’s no indication of where the reception is, and we were a bit lost as there are many counters. We didn’t know who to approach. Meanwhile, the two male staff were just minding their own business, chatting behind the computers. The room is dark, the lighting in the room is very dim, and I’m not sure why we were given a handicap room where there is no separation between the shower and toilet. So everywhere is wet when we shower. This can’t be a 4-star hotel; I think it’s even worse than some 3-star ones. Will not recommend at all.

The location is really good. It's near Ximending area and really close to the MRT station Ximen exit 4 & 5. At night, I can stroll to Ximending since the area is within walking distance.

Located near the West Gate Pavilion, just across the street from the market. A lively area. Worth staying at. Unfortunately, on my last day, I had to check out at 3 am, so I couldn't enjoy the whole day at the hotel. The hotel was clean, but the rooms weren't very big.

You can exit through Exit 4 or 5 of Ximen Station. It's directly across from the Ximending area. The only downside is the carpet on the room floor. Cleanliness is maintained, and the bathroom has a bathtub and bidet (Japanese-style toilet). The location is truly strategic. There's a Family Mart, several restaurants, and a bakery nearby.

The hotel was very crowded. The hallways were not very clean, sometimes with small pieces of trash. It needed to be vacuumed daily. Two years ago, the hotel was still well-maintained. We stayed again yesterday, and it was a bit dirty. It's a nice hotel. 👍

We have stayed in Midtown Richardson some years back due to its close proximity to MRT and Ximending. For our recent trip, we did not hesitate to return to Midtown Richardson. The buffet was not bad, with many varieties of food to choose from. The only downside was on the last night in Taipei, there was construction happening near the hotel and it was carried out after 12 AM and it lasted for about an hour. Our sleep was disturbed as we have an early flight to catch. But overall, we would recommend Midtown Richardson to travellers who are looking at convenience.

Nice and big room. I think I got a free upgrade from the hotel. The room is clean. The location is well located. The check-in time is strict at 3 pm. If it could be more lenient, it would be perfect.

Very comfortable hotel, located close to Ximen MRT station and Ximending Night Market.

The hotel needs a dehumidifier, the air conditioner needs to be cleaned regularly to work better (my room's air conditioner has a problem with not being cold at night even though it's set to 15-16 degrees, so you should add hand sanitizer for guests, no one uses soap now, so the toilet should be cleaner and it will be ok
