Reception was lovely

This is the second time I have stayed at Riviera and it won't be the last. This is definitely my accommodation of choice in Mackay.

There was a bad smell in main Bathroom, very strong, The main Bedroom A/C didn’t get cold. The other rooms a/c good. Stain on floor & wall. The picture of the kitchen they show with IPad not true & bathroom amenities with L’occitane Not true. Other then that close to Canland shopping centre & eateries you can walk too.

It's in a great location and so easy to walk to the shops and restaurants. The property was nice and clean.

Clean and spacious

Communication via email fine. Communication via phone confusing and annoying. Stating we needed to pay? Then stated needed credit card for bond. Couldn’t find purse tried to ring numerous times gave up arrived before reception closed. Receptionist lovely. Easy check in. Room comfortable had all we needed. Rooftop area an added bonus for view. Check out smooth. Then another phone call stating couldn’t find keys same lady as day before

Booked a balcony room but was told i couldn't use c the balcony due to loose tiles. Doors were cable tied together but i did manage to open bedfoom door for some fresh air. Carpets dirty and disgusting. Mould on bedside lamp shades and blinds. General lack of care and maintenance.

The best place to stay in Mackay

I didn’t think to choose non smoking because I didn’t think any shared accommodation allowed it anymore. The floors were sticky, it wreaked, there was tar on almost every surface. It was a bit more run down than it looked on pics. Some of the kitchen utensils were old and scratched up. The service was friendly though and the building easy to access.

No daily servicing, cleanliness not to the standard expected for the review - bathrooms were very dirty / mouldy. Given the review we expected the facility to be in better condiction, walls had alot of damage, rooftop floor was not open, receptoin only manned Mon-Fri during work hours.

Nice property with gated parking. The thing I felt uncomfortable with, was check in. There was no one there and i had to give out my visa number over a speaker and hope nobody else was listening.

Riviera is our preferred accommodation in Mackay.

Clean and modern. Very comfortable stay. View of the river from the balcony was phenomenal

Comfort at a price - since we last stayed, they have implemented a car parking charge probably to pay for the cost of the new door locks that the receptionist took pains to tell us had been out in recently, We were even told that although the tea and coffee were complimentary, we would t be able to get any more ! Should have been wonderful quality for that but only mediocre. Good standard of cleanliness except for the rusty very very small pedal bins to service the room - they obviously only have us enough teabags so that we didn’t overflow the bins!!

Nikki was very generous sorting out possibilities for our stay for mums birthday . We were very comfortable on the higher floors in 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Thank you - see you again.

Lovely apartment, the service, cleanliness and convenience is the best we have experienced in over 20yrs of visiting Mackay. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Close to Blue Lagoon Waterpark and Canelands. Apartments have some age and quite worn through heavy rental traffic.

Good facilities and friendly staff made the stay very enjoyable
