I was very pleased with my stay at Serena Nairobi. As a solo female traveler, I took advantage of paying for an airport transfer the evening I arrived. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. I got room service at like 1am that evening, too, and the attendant was kind as well. The property is gated and I felt very safe within. I had a spa treatment after a long day visiting the Nairobi National Park and I wasn't disappointed. I tried out the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room as well. All were nice and clean. The spa staff were very attentive. The lobby was large but welcoming with different sitting spots. The outdoor space was nice as well. I only spent two nights but the room was thoughtfully laid out with wall cabinets, mini fridge, clean bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. I wasn't able to eat at the restaurants, just have some afternoon tea in the private lounge for hotel guests. Overall, I recommend the hotel and I hope to be able to stay for longer in the future.

Fantastic hotel that we enjoyed very much. The design, food, staff and room finishings were all tip notch.

Beautiful property. Excellent service. Comfortable and convientiently located. Only issue was I could hear road construction (at 11 pm) and marathon activities (the following morning) from the park across the street on the last day which made resting difficult.

It was a wonderful stay. The staff were super friendly and professional, including the concierge folks and housekeeping. Notably, Joshua, Mary and Miriam, in the dining room room and John were amazing. Our room was rather small, but still very comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed the spa treatment as well and the dining breakfast options were amazing and I appreciate it that they had vegan options for myself. We will definitely come back for future trip trips.

The management does not post or indicate rules of dining room area. I felt very uncomfortable when ambushed by a guy who said he was a manager, when i was getting a bagel and scone to go after breakfast for my meeting. He told me that i was not to carry anything from dining or order room service! That's not what i was told by another staff member who had provided me with a to go bag and container! I was PISSED!

Exceptional hotel, true to the quality and service of all the Serena Hotels. What a joy to stay in this hotel with its beautiful pool, gardens and restaurants. The service is always perfection.

A gorgeous, comfortable, perfectly situated hotel. Wonderful and friendly staff with amazing service. Restaurants on-site if you don’t feel like heading out but easy to get other restaurants if you do. The staff made sure we were well taken care of. Loved staying here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend. Five stars.

Was able to add a day room booking when we were returning from our safari, rather than spending 8 hours in the airport. The hotel staff was so accommodating to make sure we had everything we wanted even for our short stay.

First class hotel in every respect.

The pool was heated and perfect, lots of outdoor dining. The breakfast buffet was excellent, the ala carte restaurants were fair, my husband was sick after eating prawns at the main dining room. Lacked space to walk outside safely. Too close to downtown but more suited for business travel.

Nice but A bit old-fashioned. Service in restaurant abominably slow for mediocre food.
