Basic clean rooms but fine if you are planning on being out most of the time. Family room was spacious with a great view of the pier. Excellent location for seafront attractions and high st shops. We ate breakfast in Tomassi's which is 3min walk away. Decent hotel

Tired hotel. Disinterested staff especially reception which was frankly dreadful. What could be a wonderful hotel in a fantastic location is way overpriced and average. You can't check in until 3pm but have to be out by 11am. Lastly the breakfast is at best average. There's a cafe down the road on the seafront that does a better breakfast.

As a regular bi annual customer of this hotel for so many years. I was disappointed with the breakfast menu. My child is autistic. They remember where everything was. They did not enjoy at all. The cheese selection was gone. No fresh bread. Least selection of pastries. No fruits. What a disaster and disappointment. Moreover the three room cards which were given to us. They keep falling apart. Did not work with in 1/2 an hour of llcoming to room. Got then redone at reception. Yet again they fail to open the door with in two hours of redoing them. I m sooo much disappointed first time in ever staying history at this place. Not looking forward to book anytime soon. I will be looking into next door, Royal hotel to stay in.

The hotel had no parking and was extremely dirty. The room was filthy, the toilet wasn’t working, there was hair on the beds, the carpet was very dirty, and there was even a pin on the floor that injured my daughter’s foot. They charged extra for a larger room and for a sea view, but gave us a room with a blocked window where nothing could be seen. When we complained, they refunded our money. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever seen—charging 5-star prices with no service. Even if it were free, we would never return.

Amazing location and the staff go above and beyond. The carpets definitely need updating throughout the hotel as had some bleach stains on them but the bedding was fresh and clean, as were the toilet/bathroom areas and the food was great.

The whole building looked neglected. The hallway walls were dirty and there was an unpleasant smell. The room carpet was stained, and the bathroom was outdated. To be fair, the stay was very cheap, so I did not expect luxury. However, basic cleanliness and proper maintenance should still be expected. I paid extra for a sea view room. While the room did face the sea, the balcony was dirty and poorly maintained. There was a sign on the balcony door saying that it had a table and chairs to enjoy the view, but there was nothing there. Paying extra for amenities that were not provided was disappointing. The check-in experience was also frustrating. The staff could not find my payment, even though it had already been made. Instead of trying to resolve the issue themselves, I had to look for and provide the payment information. Although they eventually apologised, the initial interaction could have been handled more smoothly. This hotel operates under the name of a well-known chain, which sets certain expectations regarding standards and service. Overall, even considering the low price, the experience was below expectations.

The room was absolutely freezing when we first checked in as there was a gap in between the window and the frame, meaning that a horrible draft was blowing through the room throughout the stay. I had to stuff the gap with pillowcases I had brought with me which helped to reduce the draft but it was still very much present. The heating in the room also didn’t work, so we had a small electric heater there that did what it could to warm the rather large room. It wasn’t sufficient however, so we had to ask for a second heater on our second day which we kept on around the clock. It’s winter and the hotel is by a beach; gaps in windows and the heating not working is not ok. There were little hairs around the tap of the sink where it looked like a gentleman had recently shaved and the area hadn’t been cleaned well enough. The mugs also didn’t look like they had been cleaned properly, had to give them and the kettle a thorough rinse before using. The shower basin filled up extremely quickly when showering, I was very conscious of how long I was in there because each time I looked down there seemed to be another inch of water and I thought it would spill out onto the bathroom floor. The toilet had a small but constant trickle of water filling the bowl so it never flushed fully on the first try and the sink had no water pressure to speak of, looks to be a slight plumbing issue. Otherwise, the receptionists were very polite and generous and the location was great for our needs.
