The Westin Cozumel

Snorkeling was fantastic. Staff was good. Food was pretty good. The hotel was a sauna. Their air conditioning doesn’t work properly. We couldn’t get the temperature in our room any cooler than 26 Degrees Celsius (79 Degrees Fahrenheit). We cut our 7 day stay to one day and moved to a different hotel. Hard to imagine anyone wants to pay so much money for rooms with no air conditioning.

Hotel breakie very good with just the “included” (no need to do the buffet). Staff for breakie were excellent (as were those at the lunch bar and beach). Gracias Eduardo!!! Hotel room showing a bit of age (for 10 years). Shower head, door lock, and AC. They were also having broader issue with AC (perhaps due to a massive 100 person wedding and rooms straining AC services) The beach area “needs” palapas!!! Not enough umbrella's and they don’t necessarily block the sun. Finally … smokers! Ugh! Though hotel staff was good to remind them smoking not allowed on beach, however lots smoked on balcony and even in elevator!? Staff was excellent!!!! Gracias!!!

Great place and location

Food is pretty bad. We got the all inclusive package and the food is just not good. Definitely don't try their bbq ribs. Also the breakfast buffet is not good either.

The people who worked there were so so nice. Especially Nadine at the spa/gym.. I use the gym every day and left behind my running headphones and she made an extra effort to make sure that they got back to me which was so much appreciated. Jorge at the indoor bar was amazing so friendly so kind Santiago at the pool he was our server who brought our drinks is such a hustler and quick and grateful… Our biggest complaint was the room had no hot water. I don’t think there was much that the property could do about it, but we asked the front desk a few times if they could look into it and they did send someone up, but it never got better. The water was lukewarm our first day the rest of the stay was cold, but the room was so beautiful. We stayed the room with the Jacuzzi on the deck, but never used it because of the water that was ice cold so that’s unfortunate. We were there during Cinco de Mayo and they had a great buffet outside, authentic, and the food was delicious. The staff who maintained our room each day was great, made so many fun little animals left on our bed with towels. It’s really fun to come back to, and our fridge was always stocked with drinks and water. The only thing I would say that needs to be improved when you check in if they can give you an idea of the restaurants, activities, the property highlights, explain those things to you. That was never explained to us. We kind of just have to figure out the property on our own. It would’ve been nice

This was our 4th stay in 12 months at The Westin. It's always been a favorite, but there was a noticeable difference in the helpfulness at the front desk this past trip. We encountered multiple difficulties and a lot of attitude. It was sad and disappointing as we are used to being treated like family. We had to ask for the room service menu, schedule, and robes for our room that typically are in there. The water in our bathroom was very smelly. The room service food was usually inedible. That being said, the staff in the 2 restaurants went above and beyond to greet us, to make special off menu food for us to accomodate us as vegetarians. They were always coming up with new options so we didn't get bored of the food. We love the snorkeling there and the beds more than anywhere else, but it is time to try other places.

Very convertible beds! Great Breakfast buffer! Great service at the pool! We will be back!

Rebekah and I had a great stay here at The Westin Cozumel. The staff was great. The front desk helped us with any questions and made us feel at home. Thank you for the great hospitality and making us feel welcome.

The stay was amazing. Food fresh and delicious. Ruth gave the best massage I’ve ever had . Rooms clean and king bed luxurious.

Clean

Staff always excellent. Vicky, Fernando and Axel stood out and always went above and beyond. Inside bartenders were also very attentive. At gaviota for breakfast santiago worked non stop to ensure glasses were full and tables cleaned. THere is a reason we continue to return there

I think it’s a bit overpriced for Cozumel

Great location for swimming and close to Buccanos. Across the street is a great Key Lime Pie shop but get there at 5:30. The lobster restaurants are great also. Hotel amenities are fantastic. Rooms all have a great view with a nice patio. All of the staff was incredibly friendly and the restaurants are great. Breakfast out on the water with buffet or made to order. Buffet is a little expensive at $30 per person. We did not do the all inclusive so we saved money and ate at restaurants around town. The only downfall to this property is the distance from the dives. In a slow boat it could take 45-1 hr. We also had a wonky shower that while it worked was difficult to get pressure through a large head. This is a wonderful place to stay and the beach is perfect!

This is a fantastic property in an idyllic location. The bay allowed for snorkeling right on site.

I love the Westin Cozumel. But. They did not have any hot water when I was there this time. Didn’t tell us about it at check in and never got fixed.

Alright place to stay overnight for next day flight. Upkeep and maintenance is lacking. Light over sink was out couldn’t see in shower or mirror. Overpriced for what you get $70 US for breakfast buffet that was meh. Hotel staff were great but front desk wasn't very accommodating. Main pool was really disgusting, not clean at all, sludge piled up in one corner. Bar service at pool extremely slow.
