The hotel was perfect. Great location, food, and the pool view was great.

It was clean, but pool should be open longer hours in summer, staff well would be nice for them to ring local for you if needed instead of saying no. Would be nice to have a spa area as well

The Stanley Hotel is a very nice hotel for accommodations.Breakfast and the rooftop pool is why you stay here. Hands down. My husband and I were on holiday celebrating my 50th birthday. A small delicious cake was delivered to my room upon arrival which was delicious and complimentary. Such a nice touch! The room we had was a bit outdated. We picked access to the executive lounge which was worth it for the free wine, beer and soft drinks. You also get chips and nuts as a little snack. The access to this lounge is more to relax and have a cocktail. Well worth it. Dinner at the Rofftop restaurant was OK. The meal we had at a local greek restaurant, in my opinion was much more flavorful and filling. We stayed for 2 nights after returning from Naxos to be closer to Athens airport to head back to the US. The rooftop staff for the pool were not very friendly however staff everywhere was fantastic. This hotel is right in the middle of a not so favorable neighborhood.

Had a great time at The Stanley!! Stayed for 3 nights, and they were exceptional with their accommodations! The restaurant & pool upstairs were incredible, and the room was comfortable! Will definitely stay again next time in Athens

I had a wonderful stay at The Stanley, it exceeded my expectations, and would absolutely recommend it. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Very accommodating, anything needed they gladly supported. I especially enjoyed the breakfast each morning. There was a great variety of options, and it was the perfect way to start the day before exploring Athens. The rooftop area and pool were also beautiful, with amazing views of the city and the Acropolis. The location made it easy to get around Athens, and transportation was readily accessible. Overall, I had a great experience and would happily stay at The Stanley again. Thank you to the staff for making my first few days in Greece so enjoyable!

I had a wonderful stay at The Stanley Hotel. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Its location is excellent, just around the corner from the metro station, making it incredibly easy to get around Athens and visit all the major attractions. The highlight of the hotel is definitely the rooftop. The views are absolutely stunning, and it’s the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Whether you’re enjoying a meal, a drink, or simply taking in the scenery, the rooftop is an unforgettable experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend The Stanley to anyone visiting Athens.

The hotel is very clean. Friendly staff. Swimming pool and reataurant and bar on roof top, very mice at night time. Hotel is very near all the main food and shopping centres. Also accessible to the train station. Will dedinitely recommend the place.

My third stay at The Stanley. Very nice hotel well placed for sight-seeing, but the best is an amazing staff!

My honest review is based on my 3 day stay. First, I was told by the taxi/uber driver to stay in at night because the area was sketchy. It was. The hotel is nice but the surroundings seem full of vagrants. I was not thrilled with my room because the carpet was flat, outdoor type carpet squares, it my bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely air conditioned. I was next to the hotel gym (room 448) so I heard lots of weights being dropped and the door slamming, but overall it was quite. I had no view at all other than the backside of another building. The shower had a rainfall shower head which I don’t care for and the temperature kept fluctuating from hot to cold, but there was also a handheld shower wand which helped greatly. I needed ice for my knee due to an injury and found out there was no ice available u less I called room service and would have to pay for that charge. To be fair in this review, the rooftop bar and restaurant area was amazing. The drinks were great and so was the food. There was an amazing breeze and wonderful view of the acropolis. I did not swim in the rooftop pool only because there were too many people in it. My overall thoughts are that if the hotel was in a better area, closer to shopping, I would stay again for the rooftop but upgrade my room. At this time, however, I will not stay again.

Excellent rooftop pool, bar and restaurant. Rooms are clean and comfortable but a tad basic, however, more than adequate for a few nights stay. Reception and waiting staff were excellent.

This stay was incredibly disappointing. We fell victim to Hotels.com's vibrant lighting and spectacular photos that made us believe that would be our room. We are incredibly mistaken. The area the hotel is located is sketchy with homeless people and drug addicts close everywhere. The room was severely outdated and sub par. Dirty walls, scuffed floors, even the chair in the room had no padding in the seat. The only redeeming quality about the property was the stunning pool and lounge area. That was truly remarkable. Asides from that, the experience was pretty upsetting. We are typically budget travelers and manage cost based on safety, location, and price. Occasionally, we splurge. This was our splurge. Unfortunately, we paid a bit more for a trashy hotel that does not deserve a spot on hotels.com's website. I wish I could be refunded for the time and experience. Nice staff and fabulous pool but beyond that, The Stanley leaves very little to be desired. Save your time and money and go elsewhere!

Reviews weren’t accurate. Very small rooms, tired finishes needing an update, not super clean, and the sound insulation is awful. We heard younger people screaming & laughing all night long. Mostly from lobby area but we were on 5th floor. Difficult to get any sleep without ear buds. The pool area on roof looked pretty good but it is somewhat small and was always packed with people so we never even tied to use it.

A great place to stay in the center of Athens, with views of the Acropolis. Metro stop a one-minute walk away so no need for a car (easy 45 or so minutes from airport). All of the major attractions just a few metro stops away (or walkable). Beautiful rooftop restaurant and pool. Excellent breakfast. Would highly recommend.

Pool area had a great vibe. Not sure why other reviews said not in a good area. We didn’t have any issues. Yes there are a few unhoused people, just like in any other city. Should have your wits about you in a strange city, just common sense. Beautiful hotel. Great food. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommend this property.

The hotel was in a great location where walking to a lot of places wasn’t terrible, even in the summer heat. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Would recommend.

Overall very nice stay, but the hotel require some renovation or some touchup. Location is in center, but it it not considered as the best location in Athens.

The hotel was spotless and the roof pool a godsend in the heat , It is a very fancy and slick area that I used daily and always found sun beds , the pool was never overly busy and was at times empty for solo swimming. We had a basic room and as we were three people a little tight , but we were happy with it a great modern bathroom with monsoon shower , and daily house keeping . The cafe outside the hotel was very good and quite cheap and we just grabbed breakfast on the go from there . The area although rundown was not unsafe , we three woman walked home late at night with no issues . The metro right outside or uber were both cheap if you don’t want to walk . This hotel would be much more expensive if in another area of Athens , so enjoy all the hotel has to offer at affordable price . More expensive room upgrades available for better views / bigger size bedrooms .
