Guilin Liangjiang International Airport is the largest airport serving the Guilin city in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which is the 33rd busiest airport in China with 4 million passengers annually. It is located in Liangjiang, Lingui District which is about 28 kilometres southwest of Guilin city centre. It was built to replace Guilin Qifengling Airport in 1993 with a cost of 1.85 billion yuan. The airport has two major terminals, which is Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is temporarily closed for renovation purposes. Therefore all flights have now been shifted to Terminal 2 which is recently opened since September 30, 2018. The airport is the main operations hub for Air Guilin which is a joint venture between Guilin Municipal Government and HNA Group.
