Ruby Lissi Hotel Vienna by IHG

Hotel decor is awesome and beds were comfy (just ask for extra pillows). There’s no phone in the room, which I know is becoming more common, but it was frustrating when a fuse blew one night and we were left in the dark. However, the staff were extremely kind and very helpful. Would definitely stay again

Excelente stay, good breakfast, friendy staff

Loved the ease of being cashless “Plastic Fantastic”! Great location for close access to U-bahn, restaurants, etc. Excellent breakfast buffet and bars. Appreciated the option to forgo daily room service for a cocktail voucher in their bar.

This hotel has a great location. Nina in the bar area was exceptional. She was friendly, so helpful, attentive, a true delight! This hotel really is a bar with a hotel attached. The bar is photogenic, a wonderful place to relax and have conversations. The staff in the bar were hit and miss. Some incredible, others subdued. There is no front desk. It is self check in. I checked in on line, but I had to input all my information again at computers in the lobby. The bar staff have to help guests with check in, so sometimes bar service is slow. It is not their fault. The room amenities are very limited. Overall, I loved the bar area and convenient location. I would stay here again.

Second visit and the Ruby just gets better. Great location, great cool vibe through the hotel, brilliant helpful staff and great jazz combo on the last night. Can't recommend highly enough.

Don't leave any valuable belongings like a watch that sadly was taken from the room, Don't even has a phone perhaps if you need inssacials lite a towel or toilet paper you have to go and get it yourself and if the room is hot ! Too bad you don't have control of it only they do ...having said that I think the price was responsible and location was very good, again don't leave valuable in the room .

The hotel is very convenient for downtown sites and very close to the Central Rail Station which has good non-stop rail access to the Airport. Hotel breakfast is very good and was sufficient to keep us going all day.

The location of Ruby Lizzy hotel was excellent. So convenient to walk to most places, very central. The metro was just 5 minutes and near by was the river Danube for relaxing long walks. The breakfast was good. Comfortable and clean bedroom Two bars for a quiet drink. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Thank you for your help.

Quirky layout, but what got us was the HVAC system temp is pre-set so the guest can only change the temp by up to +/- 3 C. Which kept the room way too hot for us. We did not get much sleep.

Breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful. Entrance is bit awkward and hard to find. You can trade no housekeeping for drink vouchers at the bar. Room had dust bunnies above bed along with a spider. Bathroom area is black paint and you can see white splash spots along the wall. Shower only has one curtain for privacy, the other is fully exposed. Walls and windows are thin. You can hear everything, bring earplugs.

No air conditioning. Staff told us to open windows but there were bugs flying in from outside. We end up having hard time sleeping. Bed wasn’t comfortable either.

What a wonderful hotel! Ideally located, in walking or tram ride distance to the sights. It’s rich in character, while having a contemporary feel. The staff were so friendly, from check-in to check-out, and the coffee they served at breakfast was excellent!

I booked this hotel because they claimed they had AC in the room. They do in fact have AC in the room but it does not turn on until summertime.

The hotel staff keep a low presence but are always very welcoming and willing to help. It is a wonderfully eclectic hotel. However I booked knowing the shower/toilet are frosted glass areas in the room but still not a fan of this arrangement. Also I do miss coffee/tea facilities in the room although this is available from a communal area on each floor. Breakfast was very good. A small selection but everything was fresh and having a barista coffee in the morning rather than coffee from a machine was a bonus. My only recommendation for improvement would be to have better signage on the stairs as it did get confusing especially when looking for the breakfast area from the stairs rather than the lift.
