Such a great stay! Recent renovations are impressive - rooms and common areas are fresh, clean and classic. The hot tub, steam room and sauna are lovely. Joel at check in was a delight - knowledgeable, friendly and most welcoming. He made us feel like he cared that we have a perfect stay in Banff, and we did.

Its a good place. Couple things i wanna share,
rooms need deep clean up. We had to get the bedsheets replaced upon arrival.
And breakfast is normal, it is overhyped in reviews for some reason.

Typically the Banff Aspen is a great hotel with a good location and great outdoor hot tubs - the latter two parts are still the same.
However this visit our room had a less than clean smell of what seems to be where a prior guest had smoked in the room and they have not properly cleaned it. Really not good and no action with respect to a credit or otherwise when I advised the front desk.

Room was clean and smelling good. Breakfast was simple but good. All staff at reception or breakfast were polite and friendly. Underground parking was very helpful with the snow.. they don’t have lots of spots but I was blessed to always find a spot when I came back.
