Banff Aspen Lodge

We stayed at Banff Aspen Lodge during our family trip to the Rockies in May 2025, but unfortunately, the hotel experience overshadowed the beauty of Banff. At checkout, we were wrongly accused of damaging the parking area, and $600 was immediately held on my credit card without proof or proper communication. We were not allowed to speak to a manager, and no one offered to inspect the damage with us. Our trailer was too small to cause such damage, and this was confirmed in videos recorded by both us and the staff. After several emails and calls, the amount was refunded — but not without serious stress, a disrupted trip, and a bank fee caused by the hold. I even had to visit my bank in person to fix the issue. There was no real apology or attempt to make up for the trouble. This situation affected our plans, our budget, and the emotional tone of the trip. For a family traveling with kids, this was a terrible experience. I do not recommend this hotel and would suggest booking with other properties in Banff that treat guests with more professionalism and care.

What a wonderful hotel! Very clean, great staff. Free parking and very good breakfast included. Loved the spacious room that we had that was separated in the middle, so kids had their own space with 2 twin beds. Hot tub area is nice, located outside so you can enjoy fresh air while sitting in warm water. The balcony has a nice view as well. We will be back in this hotel for sure

Me and my wife's first trip to Banff and we just loved staying at Aspen Lodge. Great location, delicious and satisfying breakfast buffet, and friendly staff.

Everything was great except for the parking situation. Banff is a small but very busy town in which parking can be difficult. I booked this hotel because it includes free parking. We arrived at around 9pm on a Saturday night and all the hotel parking spots were full; mind you it was May 3rd, 2025 - off season. I had to park on the street which is free from 8pm to 8am with a valid national park day pass. Just be aware that if you arrive late, there may not be on-site parking as you would expect. Other than that, everything else was great.

It's a very nice hotel in Banff. We stayed at two different ones and this one was our favourite!

The renovated room is nice and clean, and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was included. it’s a great way to start the day before skiing. The location is convenient for shopping and dining.

Excellent location and great facilities - hot tub, sauna and good b/fast. Staff very helpful, all around excellent place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Banff Aspen Lodge! The hotel was very clean, in a great location just a short walk to downtown. The facilities were excellent — we especially enjoyed the hot tubs, steam room, and sauna, which were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Breakfast was also delicious and a great way to start the day. Highly recommend!
