Banff Aspen Lodge

The lobby is nice and welcoming, but the room was quite noisy. I could hear water flowing from the bathroom above and conversations from neighboring rooms and upstairs. The lack of soundproofing made the stay less comfortable.

The room was very nice and clean, but the breakfast area staff was rude and dismissive. When my group had pointed out there was hair some of the food they just ignored us and didnt do anything about it. We did not eat there

The smell of the room was not pleasant. They should steam the floor or change the carpet. No rugs in the front door, considering its open to snow outside.

Clean room, good staff

It’s a cute, small place that was clean and well kept. Unfortunately, the air conditioner was quite loud at night, which made it difficult for us to sleep. That was disappointing, as we didn’t get much rest. On a positive note, the stay included a complimentary buffet-style breakfast, which we enjoyed.

Room was clean but noisy at times through the night (but more of a white noise). Staff were courteous. Breakfast was good and fairly good selection. Loved the steam room.

Great staff, great room, great location.

The front desk staff were friendly and did a good job explaining the hotel. Rooms are smallish and have limited outlets. This day and age everyone has at least one device to charge. The elevator is terribly small—2 people with a suitcase is all it could hold. The rooms are in good shape and the hotel is a good location. Reminds me of a hotel in Europe where every thing is narrow and small. Room was quiet. The hot in area is fantastic. Just off the lobby and well appointed but also many little kids. The breakfast area is far too small and people were constantly waiting and many just gave up and left. The hotel ad says parking on site. The underground parking is ridiculous. Something like 8 spots. The overflow parking is directly behind the hotel. It’s narrow. Not a good spot for a 1/2 ton…but who in Alberta has a half ton. There’s also a ski too that’s easy to access but the racks don’t support snow boards. You can borrow a lock at the desk to secure your equipment but it’s a 45 buck fee that you will be charged if you don’t bring back the 5.00 lock. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in Banff and I’d have to say this right at the average level.

Easy to access, on the main street, great breakfast, great accommodations! I would definitely stay here next time.

Location and room are fantastic. Staff very friendly!

Visited Banff with my mom and the rooms were nice and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. HUGE parking in the back of the hotel, which was free so that’s AMAZING. I liked that the buffet breakfast started early, and even though is it a smaller breakfast restaurant, it was really yummy and had all the main food items. The room we got had a detached sink from the rest of the washroom which was surprisingly convenient for a mother daughter duo. I could use the sink and mirror to get ready for the day, while my mom occupied the washroom. Banff Aspen is located at a convenient spot, with a fire pit outside and they also have a really good coffee bar inside near the lobby. We didn’t try the hot tub or the pool, but a lot of folks i bumped into the elevator did and they tried to talk me into enjoying it but i was busy exploring banff.

We had a great stay. The staff were friendly, and accommodating. We had a premium queen room with a sofa bed, and I loved that there was a separate “living room”. The ceilings were a bit low, but the modern, and cozy decor made up for that. The hot tubs were perfect, location was amazing. The only thing that was semi annoying was the mini fridge was extra mini. For the price we paid, I’d give it 5/5.
