I had chosen Hotel Birks for a weekend visit to celebrate our wedding anniversary because of the great reviews and the recent historical renovation of the building; and we were not disappointed in the least! What a delightful experience from start to finish. The renovation was well executed, resulting in a contemporary experience in the common spaces while maintaining the beauty to the building's art including the stained glass windows. The resulting guest rooms were luxurious, well laid out with ample room both in the main bedroom and the bathroom; nothing felt cramped. Attention to detail included extra large bath towels, a well stocked bar area, good seating and lights ASA desk, TV and even a fireplace. Bedding was comfortable as well. Housekeeping kept all tidy. The staff was exceptional and well trained. All interactions, including the restaurant, reception and bellman were professional, friendly and welcoming. We also greatly appreciated the kind note from hotel management acknowledging our wedding anniversary with a box of chocolates and again in the restaurant Henri for dinner...someone is paying attention! Well done and we will return again one day!

A beautiful hotel located close to shopping and entertainment. The hotel restaurant is exceptional and it is only a 20 min walk to Old Montreal. My room was well appointed and included a terrace. Loved the ceiling to floor windows and it felt more like a luxurious bedroom than a hotel room. The house keeping staff was very attentive and it was great having valet parking.
