WIDE Hotel

As a solo traveller paying almost £600 for 3 nights this is not value for money. It was like staying in a prison the room was tiny, bed was small. Sun light was coming through the bottom of the curtains as they are so short waking you up every morning- can’t escape this as the bed is pushed next to the window. There is no house keeping unless requested before 9am. It should be a given not a request when paying over the odds. Requested my room to be cleaned at 8:30am on Sunday to my dismay no one had cleaned my room when I returned in the evening. There is only breakfast available at the hotel no other meal options. The only perk as vip member is a free drink no upgrade of room. There is a rock dj blasting music with outdoor drinking every day until late(11pm) right opposite the hotel there is building work all along the street, you will have to walk through scaffolding to get to the hotel. The rooms were freezing! Constant aircon blasting when it’s 10-14 degrees outside. The lobby is almost non existent leading to over crowding and no where to sit, Lift takes ages especially in the mornings you’ll be waiting 5 mins to get into the lift. More like a 3 star hotel not sure why it’s been given 4 stars, it’s dated to say the least. Especially as a solo traveller do not book unless you want to stay in a prison like room.

Excellent stay in every way possible. We were upgraded to a better room with a furnished terrace. Large, very clean and comfortable room, spacious bathroom, comfortable king size bed, eco friendly and very good quality toiletries. Breakfast was super, large variety of items, cold and hot, very good coffee and teas. Excellent service, friendly and professional, gave us a lot of recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Truly an amazing place to stay when in Copenhagen, highly recommend not only for quality of service and amenities but for location as well, right in the center of everything, 7 min walking to central station from where there are trains and/or metros every 10 min to and from the airport.

Hotel is in a great location, within walking distances of many sites. The staff was amazing, kind, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with many options. Hotel was clean and modern. Only issue was room service did not change sheets.

The hotel is in an ok position for sightseeing but has building work next door. The rooms are small but comfortable. However there is an outside music venue and bar opposite which is allowed to play music between 3pm and 9pm and it is SO LOUD you could not sit on the balcony we had and could clearly hear it in our room so we could not rest. The hotel said there was nothing they could do and could not move us to another room as they were full. They also refused to give a refund on the premium amount paid for the balcony we could not use. There should be a WARNING on your website page about the music.

Wonderful stay from check-in to check-out.

We stayed just before Easter and from the start our experience was great. An initial problem with the door to the room was swiftly sorted by Daniel from reception. That level of service continued throughout our stay, at all times the staff were friendly, helpful, and immediately resolved those little issues that inevitably crop up. Hotel is clean and the room we had was excellent. Breakfast had a nice range of food and the bacon is great. Very well located for access to Tivoli and other areas while also being quiet. Very close to the train station as well which makes getting there easy. Do yourself a favour and book a room with a balcony, it really is with it. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Copenhagen.

The hotel itself was nice, rooms were okay but the general feel and cosiness off the rooms was missing. As a standard I’d expect a double room to have 2 standard size pillows per person, and it one duvet for true bed. Instead we have what can be described as a cushion sized pillow (only 1 per person) and a single duvet each. This isn’t how the room was described so it left us feeling a little uncomfortable. We were also sent down to the luggage store room in the basement to store our cases ourselves, again, I’d expect the hotel employees on the desk to take these and store in a safe place where you wouldn’t be concerned about anyone walking in and taking your belongings, but we didn’t have a choice on this occasion due to our arrive and departure times. The hotel lobby lacked an atmosphere, bar staff regularly swore when speaking between each other and upon checking out, we weren’t asked if we had a nice stay which would have been our opportunity to address these issues but it felt overall that our stay had come to an end so off we go! Overall it was a very average stay, location isn’t great but not bad and the staff were okay but not the best. Sad to say, we wouldn’t stay again.

Fantastic location to restaurants, Metro and Train Station. Staff were excellent! Breakfast good. Not full English but fresh and plenty of choice. Rooms good - however tried to replace kettle with a coffee machine. No instructions, could not warm milk and coffee not replaced. Made it more complicated than it needed to be !! The water did not get to a good temperature for making tea either.

Just an average hotel. Was clean in terms of the basics of bathroom etc but very dusty on all surfaces. You had to place a card on your door to request it to be cleaned each morning, we did twice, but it wasn’t cleaned on either occasion despite us seeing cleaning staff on our corridor. Poor quality sheets and bedding, what I would expect from a very cheap hotel if I’m honest. Good distance to Tivoli Gardens and Central Station (10 mins) but everything else is further. Any good restaurants are 10 mins walk. Lots of building work going on around the hotel and traffic can be heard from rooms. One benefit of this hotel is the bar in the lobby, it’s really nice.

Great bar. Polite bartenders. And nice staff. For a 4 star rated hotel, the rooms were not very modern in terms of interior. We had the red room and it was "worn". Scraped of paint. Mixed colours which didn't match. Quite small bathroom. The bed was good and the room size fine, but it needs to be upgraded.

We stayed in a room on the roof , lovely room and facilities and the hotel bar makes amazing cocktails . Location accessible to metro and central station we really enjoyed our stay

We were placed in a room where immediately below our window was a skip (part of building works for the hotel, which were not mentioned when booking). On the first day, we were woken up by builders throwing things heavily into the skip at 7am! This went on for over an hour, at which point I went downstairs to ask to move rooms to a side of the hotel which was not next to the building work. The receptionist agreed to move us but did not apologise for the inconvenience. After having to spend a day with all our stuff packed up again, we were then placed in a room which was still next for the building work so we could still hear the noise and were woken up by 7am every day. In addition to this, in our first room, the AC didn’t work so the room temperature was stuck at 25 degrees and we couldn’t change it. I mentioned this when asking to be moved and the new room we got didn’t have any AC and was equally as hot. This meant we had to sleep with the windows open but then the noise from the builders was worse. Very disappointing as I booked it for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday so wanted to relax but couldn’t because we barely got any sleep. There was no attempt to apologise by the staff and it was very frustrating. The placement of the new room was especially frustrating as the hotel is large and many other areas were not near the building works.

Location is excellent to explore the city. The room was really nice and clean but on the smaller size, quite petite and we missed having sleepers, also no big towels or bathrobe available. We understand that this is probably helping the hotel to be more environmentally friendly but it felt a bit basic for the price. The check in/ check out process was super fast and convenient and the staff was really helpful. Overall a really nice hotel to stay for a short visit.
