Very convenient location for city centre attractions, very walkable. Affordable public car park directly across the road. Facilities fairly basic but very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall recommended for a more affordable stay than some of the city hotels!

Does the job for a hostel, clean bed big spacious room (10 bed) unlike some hostels where it’s crammed and the toilets and showers are en-suite aswell so no 6 mile walk in the night.

Nice fresh decor. Bed okay but firm. Hard pillows could do with softer option. Room was cold on arrival and heating didn’t warm up much. The walls are very thin and noise from next door was loud at 4am. Fresh bathroom, clean and modern room. Staff welcoming and helpful.

My mate and I tried to check-in before walking to the match, but being too early, we were offered a locker. After the match, we're tired, we just want to go to bed - and the woman behind the desk starts insisting on picture ID - and wouldn't even let us into our locker before ID'ing us. A) we were never warned that this was a requirement. Then B) she wouldn't accept my 60+ oyster card picture verification. Despite having a bank card and a number of credit cards, she still wouldn't accept my oyster card picture (which was recent, I'd only turned 60 2 weeks ago). Neither of us were carrying a license or a passport, we'd only traveled from London by train. Eventually, I found a medical card which she accepted - but this was after frustratingly long 20 minutes. She was wholly and utterly unreasonable and indeed, the request for photo ID was as well. Visitors beware.

I’ve stayed here before and really liked it. This time, the room was awful: the heating was broken so the radiator made a noise all night, there was no hot water, the electrics on the beds didn’t work, the toilet was dirty and unpleasant, and the staff were ignorant (except for the lovely Spanish lady). The curtain rails on the beds kept falling off when you got out of bed and woke everyone up in the middle of the night. And the beer was ridiculously gassy - to be fair the beer was awful last time too. We were told to walk down the corridor to the lift to get to the fifth floor, only to be told by another member of staff that there was no lift. We come to Liverpool a lot but we will not be back here. Especially when we can stay in a hotel for less (and get towels).
