Timhotel Le Louvre

I do not recommend staying in the family room at this hotel. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. The room had a centralized AC system that was not working properly and produced a very unpleasant odor whenever it was running. Unfortunately, during a heat wave, turning the AC off was not a realistic option. Since it is a centralized system, guests cannot control it themselves and must contact the front desk whenever adjustments are needed. After I reported the issue, we left the hotel expecting it to be addressed. When we returned, the staff had simply turned the AC off to eliminate the smell, leaving the room hot and uncomfortable. They were unable to offer us another family room because none were available. The room itself also lacked privacy. It had only one window door facing the interior courtyard, where guests frequently walked by. We had to keep the curtains closed most of the time to prevent people from looking directly into our room. The courtyard was also quite noisy throughout the day. While I understand that room availability can be limited, I didn't feel the staff made much effort to find an alternative solution. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially considering the discomfort caused by the air conditioning and the lack of privacy.

Great breakfast

An amazing hotel in an amazing location. The room was spacious and perfect for traveling with our five year old. The location meant we could walk to a lot of museums, gardens, playgrounds, etc. Many restaurants within a short walk including adjacent to the hotel, a fantastic bakery shop around the corner, and lovely little bars as well. Breakfast was wonderful as well. We recommend it without hesitation and we're planning our next trip already!

The bathroom was so small that we had to climb over the toilet to get into the shower. The location is nice.

This is an extremely nice three star hotel. The location is great with easy access to the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Seine river and many cafes. The rooms are clean and recently remodeled/updated. The breakfast is very nice with a variety of foods and pastries. A few things to be aware of: The electrical plugs are not conveniently placed, most not near the bed. And, many of the rooms have a extremely small shower. We found it impossible to get in and to close the door so we had to carefully shower with the door open. Some rooms have a bath tub/shower. Definitely try to get one of these rooms. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel and rooms are neat and clean. The reception desk people are very helpful and cooperative. The best thing it is so near to the Louvre. I would surely stay here again for safety and travel purpose.

The hotel is in a great position . I was disappointed that I had to go down 3 stairs and up 2 stairs to get to our room. It is a pity Paris hotels do not offer a small bar fridge.

Stayed here recently during our Paris trip. The location was excellent and very convenient for exploring the city, especially near the Louvre and metro stations. Staff were polite and responsive. Unfortunately, we did encounter cockroaches in our original room, which was disappointing. However, the hotel immediately transferred us to another room once we reported it, and the issue was handled promptly. Overall, we still had a lovely stay in Paris, but I hope the hotel continues improving its pest control and room maintenance.

The staff and front desk hosts were excellent, kind and very helpful. (Location/ LPeople - The best aspects of this hotel. We really appreciated this.) The location was close to many walkable sights, train stations, etc.. It was very nice that breakfast was available at the hotel, but there were also cafe’s, bakeries and sandwich shops on this street. Our room was very quiet, quite spacious, bathroom facilities were good, with refreshed daily cleaning/towels provided. Overall the facilities were quite clean. The heat pump / air conditioner appeared to be out of order in our room but we did not inquire about this, as during the day we were out seeing Paris museums and sights. We did not return to the hotel until the cooler evenings, so it was ok during spring. However, air conditioning may be problem during hotter summer months if this is not repaired or replaced. Overall this hotel was a practical choice, it provided what we needed, We so enjoyed Paris and the surrounding area.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, great location…. But as a traveler I pick where I stay based on amenities and price and location. I emailed the property to verify air conditioning and shampoo and conditioner. Not sure who responded but I was told they had all 3. Upon arrival I was told air conditioning is not turned on til a certain date. This is absolutely unacceptable when I emailed beforehand and it’s non refundable. They also have a body wash for shampoo and lotion for conditioner. So was not told the truth on either thing. The hair dryer only worked for 30 seconds at a time before it cut off. Had I been told the accurate information I would not have stayed here. Not being upfront with patrons is unforgivable. Travelers should not be taken advantage of just because. I’m not sure who to blame here but this is unacceptable in a hospitality atmosphere. I did my due diligence but contacting the establishment before hand

This was a perfect location for many of our Tourist events in Paris. Literally across the street from the Louve, a block away from the Seine River and easy walk to the Notre Dame Cathedrale.
