Burau Bay is located on Langkawi Island, Kedah, Malaysia. The beach is around 1.5 kilometres long. It is on the western coastline of Langkawi in the area of Pantai Kok. Most of the time the beach is used by the guest of the two five star resorts however the middle part of the beach is open to public. Most of the time the beach remains secluded.
Since Burau Bay is within the Island of Langkawi itself, therefore the people here would still use the language of Bahasa Melayu as their main form of communication. However they have a local dialect since the state is in the northern part of Malaysia. English is widely used as the island is a famous tourist spot for foreigners.
One can take a local flight such as AirAsia or Malaysia Airlines and Firefly and fly directly into the island of Langkawi. There will be plenty of taxis waiting outside the airport to get the visitors to their hotels.

There will be a fee applied and it may be different for the resort’s guests and also to the public. Some of the facilities offered are jet skie, banana boating, motor boats for island visits. Visitors also may swim as the beach is great for it. The resorts also offer snorkeling gear should the visitors wish to make the swim more interesting. Other than that, the visitors may relax on the beach and enjoy the wind and towards later in the evening, watch the sunset view.
Pulau Langkawi is a small island therefore all the attractions are close by to all the beaches around it. One attraction that is in the middle of the island would be the cable car. The cable car was built to bring visitors up to the peak of Mount Mat Chinchang. It is the steepest cable car in the world. The total cable length is 4400 meters from the base station to the top station. At the top station it has an elevation of 708 meters high.
The Sky Bridge on the other hand is located at the top station. It is the longest curved bridge in the world. It is around 100 meters above ground and can accommodate up to 250 people at the same time. It is 125 meters long and it is also curved. Besides that there is a transparent floor in some parts of the bridge which allows the visitors to look down and feel like walking on mid-air.
