How to get to Belum Rainforest Resort

There is no airport near Belum Rainforest Resort since it is pretty far from major towns. The best way to get there is to drive your own vehicle. You can drive to Banding Island from Kuala Lumpur where the journey takes between four to five hours drive away. From Kuala Lumpur, take the North-South Highway and head north towards Ipoh. After that take the Kuala Kangsar exit and head towards Gerik, bypassing the town of Lenggong. Heading onwards to Jeli, Kelantan, this highway will take you straight to Banding Island. You also can take a bus to Banding Island. There is currently two coach company includes Maju Express and Transnasional that operates more than 5 trips daily from either Hentian Duta or Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) in Kuala Lumpur to Gerik town. Private transfer to the Belum Rainforest Resort can be arranged upon advance request. Besides that Belum Rainforest Resort can be accessed by train. The closest train station via ETS (Electric Train Service) is in Kuala Kangsar town, about one and half hour drives from the resort. Private transfer to the resort can be arranged upon advance request. You also can board a helicopter to Belum Rainforest Resort. Helicopter charter services to Banding Island are available from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang and Penang International Airport.

Different Types of Rooms in Belum Rainforest Resort

Belum Rainforest Resort offers a comfortable and cosy room for the guest with private balconies.There are 10 types of rooms, villa and chalet provided to the guest that include Azlanii, Balau, Chengal Garden View, Chengal Lake View, Tualang, Pulai, Meranti, Villa Santubong, Villa Tanjung Tuan and Houseboat.

Each of the rooms is appointed with air conditioning, central heating, a fan and a bathroom. Most rooms feature a balcony with a view of the garden or nearby lake for guests' enjoyment. The rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. They also provide basic facilities to the guests such as safety box and a minibar, fridge, a mini-fridge and a tea or coffee station. Internet access and a telephone also provided. The bathrooms are fitted with a shower and a bathtub and hairdryer can also be found in each of the bathrooms.

Azlanii is a superior room with 1 King Sized bed or 2 Single beds. Size of the room is 29 sqm. The room comes with an all-inclusive package that includes Family Rainforest Retreat, Belum Discovery Weekday Retreat and Rainforest Discover & Rejuvenates and convenes package.

Balau is a deluxe room with 1 King-sized bed or 2 single beds. The rooms with the size of 40 sqm offer one King Sized bed or Twin beds which makes it perfect for two adults with 2 kids guests stay in the room.

Chengal Garden View is an Executive Deluxe room with a garden view. It comes with 1 King bed or 2 Single beds with the room size of 51 sqm. This room feature sofa, minibar and tumble dryer. With the size of 51 sqm which makes it perfect for guests travelling with two people or family travel with four people.

Chengal Lake View is an Executive Deluxe room with lake view. The room features an electric kettle, bathrobe and minibar.The size of the rooms is 46 sqm. The rooms provide a king sized bed or twin beds for guest travelling with two adult and kids.

Tualang is a one bedroom traditional chalet with 1 King bed that provide amenities such as mini bar, safety deposit box and towels.The size of the chalet is 59 sqm.

Pulai features two bedrooms traditional chalet type of accommodation. It comes with 1 King bed and 2 single beds. The size of the room is 84 sqm which makes it perfect for guests travelling with family.

Villa Santubong features 3 Bedroom Luxury Rainforest Villa with private pool and personalized butler service. The size of the room is 318 sqm which can accommodate 6 persons in the room.

Villa Tanjung Wan features 7 Bedroom Luxury Rainforest villa with private pool and personalized butler service. The rooms provide 4 King beds and 10 single beds that can accommodate 18 persons with a room size of 603 sqm.

The houseboat is an accommodation that can give guests a wonderful experience. Here guests can have a chance to explore lush, green and natural ambience of Belum Temenggor Lake. This accommodation offers 4 cabins that include 2 queen beds, 7 single beds and an open roof deck. The houseboat can accommodate to a maximum group of 16.
