How to Get There

By Car/Taxi

From Kuala Lumpur city centre, it takes around 1 hour to reach Hulu Selangor by using North –South Highway. Besides that, from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, you can drive or take a taxi and the journey takes 1 hour 30 minutes.

By Train

You can take KTM train from KL central station or from Port Klang to reach Batang Kali commuter station at Hulu Selangor. From here, you can take taxi or GrabCar to visit around this place.

Gunung Kutu

Gunung Kutu is located 9 minutes away from Hulu Selangor town. It is a 1,050m high mountain near Kuala Kubu Bharu along the trunk road to Fraser’s Hill. It was once a colonial hill station called ‘Treacher’s Hill’ and was bombed by the Japanese during the war leaving the area abandoned to wild and was lost in thick vegetation. The climb up to Gunung Kutu takes around 2 to 4 hours depending on speed and surroundings begin from an Orang Asli village at the foothill and turn right at the signboard to Kampung Pertak after Sungai Selangor Dam. If you come from Kuala Kubu Bharu town, you can follow the paved road past modern-looking Aborigine homes as it winds along the Sungai Pertak river. Visitors are advised to wear hiking shoes with strong grip, hiking gear, bring water and extra clothes.

White Water rafting at Selangor River

The river is located 10 minutes away from Hulu Selangor town and just 1 hour drive away from Kuala Lumpur. It has become popular river since the white water rafting began at this river. Sungai Selangor is considered a grade IV white water rafting river. Visitors need to understand and aware of white water rafting equipment which are paddles, helmets, PFD (life vest), Self bailing rafts and other rafting equipment for precaution requirement.
