The Interior Division is an administrative division of the state of Sabah, Malaysia. It covers the southwest portion of Sabah, bordered by the neighbouring state of Sarawak. Interior Division has a an area of 18,298 square kilometres, where it covers 24.9% of Sabah's territory and is inhabited by approximately 14.7% of Sabah's total population.
The largest town in the Interior Division is Keningau. Other main towns include Beaufort, Kuala Penyu, Sipitang, Tambunan and Tenom. The coastal parts of the Division are inhabited mostly by Bruneian Malays and Kedayan, whereas the inland areas to the east of the Crocker Range are mostly inhabited by various subgroups of the Kadazan-Dusun people. Tambunan Town is considered to be a major centre of Kadazan culture, while Tenom is the largest town for Murut people. The Long Pasia and Long Mio is the gateway to the Lun Bawang or Lun Dayeh tribes Sipitang.
There are great numbers of Chinese people in most of the towns, particularly Beaufort, Keningau and Tenom. The majority of the Division's ethnic Chinese inhabitants are from the Hakka subgroup.

Lok Kawi Wildlife Park
Wildlife Park Lok Kawi is developed by the Sabah Wildlife Department on Penampang-Papar old road. The existence of this park has undisputedly boosted Sabah’s tourism industry. Lok Kawi Wildlife Park was made up of two parts named the zoological and the botanical. The tourists can visit variety of animals at the zoo such as, Borneo Pygmy elephants, Sumatran rhinoceros, Orang Utan, Proboscis monkey, Malayan tiger and some species of deer. Whereas, the botanical part provides the visitors some activities while witnessing along the breath-taking green nature. One of them is jungle trekking, about 1.4 kilometers long of the paved. As the visitors trek along the jungle, they will get to visit the most lively section which is the aviary section. They will get to hear crowds of sounds of mynahs, hornbill, pigeons, parrots, eagles, egrets and a lot more. There is also section made 100% safe for the children to enjoy their visit. In this section, they will get to interact with pygmy elephants, ponies and goats.
Ambuyat is among the famous indigenous cuisine in Sabah. Mostly people in Interior Division eat Ambuyat together with Asam Pedas.
