Bandaraya LRT station is located in the central Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The station is a part of the STAR LRT line. The station was opened on 16 December 1996, as part of the first phase of the STAR system. The station positions between the eastern banks of the Gombak River and an intersection between Jalan Raja Laut. The station is also within close proximity of SOGO, MARA tower, CIMB tower, the Bank Negara headquarters, Jalan TAR and a few more attraction spots.

How to Get There

By Car

From KL Internation Airport (KLIA), you can drive straight to Bandaray LRT station, Kuala Lumpur via Maju Expressway or known as MEX. Take the exit to Kuala Lumpur City Centre, and follow the sign to Jalan Kuching. From Jalan Kuching, take the exit to Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. The station is located right behind SOGO. The journey will be about an hour driving with 100 km/h speed.

By Train

From KLIA to Bandaraya Station, get on to KLIA Express train and get off at Bandar Tasik Selatan. Then, get on STAR train that heads off to Sentul Timur. Get off at Bandaraya Station.

Sogo KL

Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman

The road is named after the first Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Rahman of Negeri Sembilan and popularly known as Jalan TAR. On both sides of the road are retail shops which were built since pre-war. They are famous for selling variety of women and men fabrics, textiles and clothing. The prices are reasonable and those who are good at bargaining can get it cheaper.

Merdeka Square

Merdeka Square is located at Jalan Raja, City Centre, 50050 Kuala Lumpur. It is situated in front of Sultan Abdul Samad Building that was used to be a court. Merdeka Square was a place where Union Flag was lowered and Malayan flag was hoisted for the first time, sharp at 12 am on 31 August 1957.
